The people seem nice enough. Thought it would have potential. My daughter paid her amount in full, got some head shots done, did a couple required zoom meetings. She needs to go in to do the two day training but the dates keep changing like every two months later so she still can’t get them done and now they are making her do the zoom ones again as well as those. Was told she could still apply for jobs but then when she tried they told her she needed to do the training first but every time she tries they keep putting off the dates so she never gets the chance. It’s very upsetting. Especially

Coming into this industry I was very skeptical. Urban Talent has made the transition and process very smooth and educational! They provide trainings to help you become more confident and professional. I have enjoyed going to the in person trainings and really developing my brand and who I am and want to be in this industry. I admire their transparency, knowing there isn’t going to be any hidden surprise that needs to be worried about. I’ve only been signed with Urban for a few months now but from what I have experienced it has been good. I really appreciate them having a training for those of us who have never modeled. It has definitely been beneficial for me and has helped me grow. It seems intimidating but they help motivate and encourage you to get out of your shell and try harder! I haven’t gotten to book with anyone yet but I hope I can get the opportunity to grow and try something new. I signed with them because I am always looking for ways to better myself and get out of my comfort zone. Modeling definitely isn’t

I have only been with Urban Talent Management for a couple of weeks now and I just got done with the training portion and it was so helpful! Everyone at the agency is super friendly and they make you feel super welcomed and like you belong even if you are very new to modeling. I am SO excited to see what this experience has in store for me.

Working with urban talent management as a model has been a great experience! They are constantly giving you opportunities for auditions and they give you classes that set you up to succeed in the modeling business which definitely makes them different from a lot of agencies! They are very professional and I’ve had no problems with any of them. I highly recommend signing with them if you are serious about getting into the modeling world!

I got signed in September and I’m stoked to have actually taken the chance on this modeling career, it is extremely out of my comfort zone. Yes it is a lot of money to start, but if you’re willing to put in the work & practice what you learn- I’m confident it will pay off. It is not a scam, it is a legit company and they truly care if you succeed or not. They’re not going to just let you pay then leave you hanging- they aren’t gonna make money if you’re not succeeding, so they WANT you to succeed & they’re all really nice & helpful. All of my friends had told me not to because they ARE a scam but ofc i ignored them... i was excited, i had barely been 18 for like 3 days and she knew i was just excited. she told me to sign up for allll of there classes and i said i didnt need them and she pretty much said if i want a molding carrier with them i need the classes i said im not too sure and ofc she talked me into it, they tell u nothing but lies so they can get u to sign ! they feed off of young ppl who want to be in the industry, they will not book u at all!! just take all your money please do not sign with them!! Total scam. I quickly realized after my orientation that this was just a scheme to get money out of young girls. So I was able to get my money back, and I thought that was the end of it. But no, the next month they texted me again saying that my account balance was going to be sent to collections, even though I no longer had an account with them and I had never once had one of the classes that they promised. Suuuuch a scam!!! I am a signed talent with an active contract who took some time off to raise my son & go to school. A scouter who didn't know I was already a talent messaged me on Facebook and consistently followed up about it. Once I told her I'd be interested in getting work again she ghosted me, knowing she couldn't make a sale. I followed up with the office manager & waited almost two weeks for a reply about getting work again, assured I'd be messaged within 24-48 business day hours. They want you to pay like $1500 for classes and another large fee for headshots with their photographer before you do any jobs. If you look up anything about scams this is the definition. The consumer.FTC.gov 's 2 biggest red flags are found here "You have to use a specific photographer. You have to pay a fee to them to serve as your agent before they'll do any work on your behalf." Ive heard NIYA is a reputable legit agency in Utah so i would go there if you are serious about modeling.

I signed up as a client and called the next day because I had to move to California and help grandparents that had Covid. It just wasn't the time for me to invest in a model agency. I called within 24hours and they would not let me out of contract, let alone help me out with my $2000 payment. They get away with being dishonest. incredibly rude people and not helpful.

I signed on 2 months ago and they've been super helpful and patient with me and my lack of technical skills. They have helped me to be more my word with being on time (not my strong suit) because they do not accept any kind of lateness. I am learning to build my confidence back up after being in a severely emotionally abusive marriage for 15 1/2 years. I am stepping out of my comfort zone and stretching myself and it feels good. The lady tried to make you think your good look can get so many jobs. I didn't even try. I just rejected them. A model friend (who has worked in model industries for a couple of years ) told me this company can be a scam. They really only book a few models, but sign TONS of people and make money off their trainings. don't waste your time but if you do, do everyone a favor write a review about them.

STAY AWAY. I'm new to the whole modeling scene in Utah and was recently scouted by a few companies due to my participation in a local pageant. Luckily I have some AMAZING friends already in the industry (one of which had warned me she'd heard bad things), but I was meeting with multiple companies so figured I'd just see for myself. Definitely knew right when I heard the phrase "one time cost" that the meeting was a complete waste of time. DO NOT EVEN BOTHER. Also asked for a copy of their contract to review and in comparison to any of the other modeling agencies there

Nope. Just do not sign any papers they give you. No modeling agency should make you pay them before you have ANY money to begin with. I have sadly had to deal with them harassing me for over 2 years. I have moved on, found a much better agency and I am much happier and actually HAVE money instead of someone taking it for a few "modeling classes & headshots" lmao just don't even bother with this company.

Don't be fooled it's a complete scam. I've modeled for years with a reputable company in Hawaii. They never asked me for money but instead booked me on jobs that paid and when I got paid they got paid. That's how it should work. Urban talent insists that you pay for classes, even if you've had years of experience and with major clients they never will work with. It's a complete waste of time and only for two days, with no photos or composite cards given at the end. If you have the right looks photographers and clients will work with you. I did two shoots for Urban. One I received payment, but the contract included a percentage (royalties), and the other I never received payment for. I called the office multiple times. Noone could answer any questions. I was instructed to email Bret, which I did. He responded with a "looking into this." But then when I followed up a month or so later, surprise!! No response to my email, phone calls. Not a thing.
It is very frustrating and unprofessional. At this point I don't give a crap about the payment, but I think it is so rude and unprofessional to not reply.
