Services
The WGC team program follows the levels and guidelines set forth by USA GYMNASTICS, the governing body of gymnastics in the United States. To help defray the costs of competitions, the WGBA (Wichita Gymnastics Booster Association) has many fundraising activities and opportunities for the girls and parents to participate in.
At WGC, staff members are chosen for their maturity (adults), sensitivity, expertise, enthusiasm and positive caring approach to teaching children. Most of our instructors have been with us for many years and others started as children in our programs. You can always count on WGC staff to create a positive experience for your child.
Why should my child do gymnastics? Gymnastics is a great sport for children of all ages. Gymnastics classes offer a variety of benefits: physical activity promotes exercise, coaches and instruction promote attentiveness and respect. Gymnastics helps children develop spatial and body awareness. It helps with physical, social, emotional and cognitive developemnt.
At WGC, we offer many different Kid's Programs that incorporate fun and a variety of activities. We have tried several of their instructors over the last year. Miss Lauren is my daughters favorite! She pushes each child and her classes always seem to be full. I live that our daughter can advance with her instructor through the higher levels as we go.
My son tried their ninja class. Unfortunately some of the students in his group made it something we wouldn't do again.
Mrs. Shannon is an expert with people and always helpful when I have questions.
Great place to bring your gymnast.

Parents beware if you sign your kids up for swimming lessons here! They don't care for the kids safety. They have an outdoor pool & they don't cancel the swimming lessons during thunderstorms. Their philosophy is that they have to actually see the lightning. They didn't care that it was thundering like crazy. We asked about it & they didn't comprehend that the thunder was the result of lightning! I have never heard of any responsible place of business not getting the kids out of the water as soon as it starts thundering. Even outdoor sports leagues that are no where near water cancels practice

My daughter has been going her since she was 2. She loves Linda and Dan like her "other" parents. It is the best balance between nurturing and competitive you can get from a gymnastics outfit. The coaches are wonderful. I wouldn't take my kids anywhere else, I guess that is why I drive from Derby 5x a week for my youngest daughter to be on their competitive team!!!
