Heather graduated from Northeastern University, and has worked at Mecca Integrated Medical Center since 2010 serving our patients' needs. Heather works closely with insurance companies, verifying patient's coverage, and obtaining authorizations. She is available to our patients to answer questions regarding insurance coverage, billing, and patient satisfaction.
Dr. Lacara opened Continuum Care at Mecca in 2015, providing personalized, primary care to her patients in a concierge-style practice setting. Dena Lacara, DO is a board certified diplomat of the American Board of Family Medicine. She graduated Magna Cum Laude from Rutgers College of Pharmacy, earning her bachelor's degree in Pharmacology in 1997 and continues to maintain a valid New Jersey pharmacists license.

Came to Mecca for two separate injuries the first was successfully mitigated the other in progress and they helped me to strengthen and avoid surgery altogether for my shoulder! The PT and Chiro staff are polite and friendly, and the office support staff are second to none. They make you feel like family when you first step in the door. The decor is modern and makes you feel at-ease from the moment you walk in, always very relaxing! Can’t recommend one employee over another because have all been great!!! Keep up the great work Mecca, and thanks for taking such great care of me!

I absolutely love coming here for PT, acupuncture, and the chiropractors. The staff make every appointment a fun experience and I leave every appointment feeling amazing. You can tell the staff communicates throughout all departments to ensure your treatment plan is followed throughout your time here. I never have to repeatedly discuss my injuries or problem areas regardless of who is treating me. They remember everything I've told them and do a great job keeping me in the loop of my treatment plans. I really look forward to coming here and am very happy with my experience!

Best move I've made. 20+ years of lower back/hip/leg pain. Best Docs and staff you could imagine and it's all done in one place. The vibe is family like, every staff member knows my name and makes me feel welcome every time I'm there which has been 3x a week for the last six. Since the moment I walked into Mecca I was met with positive attitudes and reassurance that they would help me with my back issues. Months later I have improved greatly and continue to be treated and cared with the same 150% positive attitude everyday. Made a consultation appointment and asked if I decided to get the procedure done after would I be able to and was told yes. Got to my appointment 13 minutes early so I can fill out paperwork. Appointment was at 1:15 and Didn't get called into the room with the doctor until 20 mins after my appointment time. after speaking with the doctor, I said I wanted to proceed with getting the procedure and was told by the doc that they close at 2 and she had to get to her Covid vaccine appointment which was AT 2pm. I explained that I drove 35 mins to get here and was told I can get the procedure done

Appointment scheduling was simple, the woman on the phone was very helpful and made me feel at ease coming into my appointment prepared.
I felt safe the entire time during my appointment, with the COVID screening in the beginning and the entire spa being impeccably clean. The ambiance is relaxing and soothing.
I went in with my skin looking terrible, and immediately after my Hydrafacial I noticed a difference that lasted.

When I started my physical therapy and chiropractic therapy, I went to ME CCA with excruciating pain in my shoulder, knee, and my back. I thought I would have to live with pain with rest of my life. I have gone to THREE different physical therapists for the same issue in the past 2 years. I only started to feel some type of relief once working with the Mecca team. They treat patients great and are always super positive!

I made an appointment on zoc doc for 11AM. I was called by the office and told they dont take appointments through zoc doc and to come at 245 pm. I get called again saying i don't have an appointment because my insurance coordinator is on vacation. I have lifetime health benefits and have never heard of this. I will be taking my business elsewhere.

I started going to Mecca for a second opinion after an Orthopedic Surgeon said I need a Complete Shoulder Replacement. I have been going twice a week ever since. I feel very relaxed once I get there because I know it's working and I trust their knowledge and safe

I have been a patient at Mecca for almost 3 years and honestly could not have higher recommendations for these providers! The entire staff is very patient and 100% interested in your well-being and comfort. Compared to other facilities, I love how Mecca is my all-in-one for musculoskeletal problems. Initially I went in for lower back pain, but have done some physical therapy for my knee as well as acupuncture for my back.

After over a year long battle and resisting to having surgery on two herniated discs, I was introduced to Dr. Sapienza and the entire staff at Mecca. It was god sent! From my initial consultation to my P/T sessions and post maintenance they have been instrumental in helping me maintain a healthy back.
