Launched in 2015 by Tessa Young, PRISM DJs is a Los Angeles-based collective and booking agency representing an eclectic roster of dynamic women DJs. PRISM DJs' mission is to create a supportive network for women DJs and advocate for gender equality in the music industry. With a network of 30 women, the agency provides soundtracks for private parties, weddings, retail and corporate events.
The agency represents a diverse group of women with varied music specialties. PRISM DJs have played events like Upfront Summit, FabFitFun Summer House, Street Food Cinema, and the Amazon series Transparent party. Other PRISM clients have included Make-a-Wish Foundation, Grindr, Veggie Grill, and Healthy Spot.

From start to finish, DJ Tessa was great to work with. After an initial conversation about our music tastes and vision for the wedding, she referred us to a few options at Prism that worked with our vibe. In the end, we went with DJ ShanLynn who did an incredible job of keeping the dance floor packed all night long. They were both very accommodating to our special requests (including incorporating a string quartet into the event), offered helpful suggestions, and were very communicative through the whole process. We couldn't have asked for anyone better!

Our experience with Prism DJs was wonderful and largely due to the professionalism that Tessa brought at all times. Despite numerous event postponements and complications, both Tessa and DJ Liz O. were both extremely flexible and accommodating. They took our requests, as well as a few from our guests and delivered a joyful night full of dancing for all. We would encourage you to contact Tessa if you're in need of a DJ, particularly a rad female one.

As a couple that's really into music, finding a good wedding DJ was a must and also a really daunting task; our biggest fear was hiring a cheesy DJ that would be memorable for how bad they were! This was anything but the case with PRISM DJs. From early communication with Tessa, to fine tuning the playlists and logistics with DJ ShanLynn, everything was easy and enjoyable. We found them, deep in our wedding planning anxieties, during a seemingly endless hunt for a DJ to carry us dancing into the wee hours of the morning post-wedding bonanza!
From the very first email, responses were informative - quick - and it was obvious the company took all of our wishes and concerns very seriously.
We worked with DJ Tessa for the big day and it was an incredible experience. She expertly transitioned different genres to give us our dream Cumbia - Funk - Motown - Ariana Grande reception dance vibes!!!

Tessa was everything and more than what we wanted. My wife and I worked with her for our wedding in April 2018. She was our DJ and MC. Our wedding was not an easy job as we needed to set up in a few different areas. However, Tessa and her team did it seamlessly and the quality was great. We dealt with DJ Tess and could not have been happier. She was professional and responsive throughout the process and was on the ball in the weeks leading to and at our wedding. She handled the sound, worked our choices in throughout the night, and killed it playing jams that both worked with our overall choices and aesthetic and got people moving in the dance floor. Couldn't be happier with a DJ experience.

DJ Tessa and her team at Prism DJs are amazing! I've worked with Tessa personally several times, along with DJ ShanLynn and a few other great DJs on their team and every time we've had a great dance party!! I'm a wedding planner, and with my biz, I'm a huge fan of DJs who actually listen to what their clients want, and the Prism DJ team does just that. I can't thank PRISM DJs and DJ ShanLynn enough for the AMAZING job they did at my wedding this past August! DJ ShanLynn was patient and helpful throughout the entire planning process. She took the time to talk to me and my fiancé in order to figure out exactly what types of music we liked and didn't like. She worked with us to come up with a playlist the crowd LOVED! My wife and I booked with Tessa for our wedding, and our DJ was ShanLynn. We couldn't have been happier with how easy the process was, and how accommodating Tessa and Shanlynn were when it came to our musical choices and particularities (we're a little picky when it comes to our music).
