Services
In some cases, a negligence or other claim may be pursued against a third-party who is responsible for your injuries. These actions allow injured workers to pursue certain damages not allowed under Vermont workers' compensation laws, such as pain and suffering. We review each workers' compensation claim to determine whether you have a third-party claim, and if you do, we will pursue it on your behalf.
Todd has been an avid outdoorsman from an early age. Since graduating from Vermont Law School, he has focused solely on representing injured workers. He and his wife, Karen, established Kalter, Kalter and Mabey in 1997. He has been named a Fellow of the College of Workers' Compensation Lawyers, named one of the Best Lawyers in America since 2004 and also named in the workers' compensation practice area of New England Super Lawyers.
When you've suffered a job-related injury or illness, claiming workers' compensation benefits are typically the only way to ensure your medical expenses are covered. Unfortunately, employers and insurance companies often make it extremely difficult for injured workers to collect the benefits they're entitled to.
On this website, we can provide you with only general information about the Vermont Workers' Compensation system. If you have questions about your particular claim, call us or submit a free case evaluation form. The Vermont Workers' Compensation system is administered by the Vermont Department of Labor.

Report
By using Kalter, Kalter & Mabey after my life altering work related accident, I not only was able to settled my case and regain aspects of my life I thought were gone forever, but also felt as if my family had been extended to include everyone that works for the firm. Their knowledge, experience, expertise, professionalism and understanding of not only the laws, but of the needs of people is above outstanding. I never once felt like a case number. It is a shame 5 stars is the highest rating allowed for people that give far more than that to their clients, everyday through the entire process.
