Chinese medicine, also known as Kampo in Japan, is a major aspect of Traditional Chinese Medicine. Chinese medicine uses a variety of herbs you may have heard of such as astragalus, ginkgo, ginseng and green tea in different combinations to restore balance to the body. There are more than 3200 herbs, mineral and animal extracts used in more than 400 different chinese medicinal formulas, containing on average 2-15 different ingredients.
Chinese medicinals and acupuncture are usually of secondary therapeutic importance when it comes to treating disease. Proper nutrition is the first line of defense. In order for the patient to be healthy and well their diet and lifestyle have to be correctly adjusted. Often this can be the most challenging part of getting well especially here in the West.
Facial rejuvenation acupuncture, sometimes referred to as "acupuncture facelift, " is a wonderful timeless beauty technique used by the Chinese since the Sung Dynasty (960-1279AD). In Chinese, it is called "Me Rong Zhen". Cosmetic acupuncture was performed on the Empress and Emperor's concubines. Today, it is an effective non-surgical yet painless way to lessen the appearance of fine lines as well as deeper wrinkles.
Moxibustion involves the placement of a heated medicinal herb placed close to the body, in order to warm the appropriate meridian/body part. Moxibustion is particularly useful in the cold season, for treating chronic ailments, and for treating patients with cold constitutions. Moxibustion treatments are pleasant and soothing treatments, where you will be asked to lie down in a comfortable, rested position.

I've been going to wise wellness for a while now and have always been treated very well. I've recovered mobility that I thought was gone for good. The pain I have, has been diminished greatly, which allows me to exercise and strengthen the wornout parts....oh yeah, I'm a little bit old.....thanks ladies.....

I was hit by a truck in 2014. i am in constant chronic pain. i have seen many different people, for treatment. Mrs. Toyoshima is the best acupuncturist i have received treatments from. Moxibustion has been a great help in my pain reduction. Mrs. Toyoshima has been treating me for over a year now. I could not be more grateful for her empathy, understand, & awareness.

This was my first time with acupuncture so I have no point of reference but Mrs. Toyoshima explained everything, has an impeccably clean center and after the painless needles were inserted it felt like water flowing inside. They might have a good acupuncturist but this is not the place to go if you're stuck in between a rock and a hard place. They were unable to accomodate me after I spent 20 minutes driving around Lovers Lane looking for their business. There was no sign that I could see, just a bunch of offices so I pulled over and called and was told that it was too late in the day for me to be seen. My watch had 5 minutes after the start time. I am from out of town so was supposed to be there 15 minutes early, not 5 minutes late, which I would have had I had been able to find the place. So if you are

I have had several surgeries since 2006& 2007 orthoscopic .2017 & 2018 Knee replacements .
Also right arm surgeries 2010-2011&2012 -3 x on one arm. Then had surgeries on the neck. 2013.&2019.Then I have seen a doctor since 2013 for pain getting injections & epidurals in neck . Helped some of the time then Pain is back. My pt therapist suggested going to a Acupuncturist. So I googled and found Wise Wellness . I went there Millisa did the Accupuncture.
I thought right this Is going to work. Wow Afterwords.I have no pain in neck & back & hip! 1 st time in years I woke up with No Pain!!

I wish I knew before going there that their services cost you too much money and stress. Not good experience at all. She charged you $525 for only 30 minutes visit if your insurance is paying which she did not even tell me before service. She told me that her fees is $70-$75 but after services, she asked $525, can you believe it? Do not trust her words, she is just money minded, does not care how the treatment went? So I do not recommend Melissa for any type of acupuncture services. If you want to stay stress-free, stay away form this clinic.

I've gone 3 times for help with TMJ relief, and the associated neck and shoulder pain that I've dealt with for over 20 years. I've not necessarily seen tons of improvement, though I can say my shoulders haven't been as bad as they are typically. HOWEVER... at the last visit, I mentioned a hamstring knot that I've had for over a year that is so unbelievably painful I couldn't even stretch it out. I've tried everything - yoga, stretching, strengthening, tennis ball, massage, etc. She stuck 3 pins in it, and I can honestly say that I have not had this much relief

Simply amazing. I was home visiting family and really needed some help with pain in my shoulders before I flew back to LA and would have no time. It has been over a week and my shoulders feel great.
