Staff very friendly. Was a little confusing to start. Internet was different then what their site was.
First it said the office was open until 8 but in reality it was 6. This was a small issue because I did not arrive until shortly after 6 and the gate is closed and locked. I was going to stay only 1 night but after I joined and went to their site it said a 2 night minimum for even a tent site. Everything worked out and had the tent area to myself.
They just need to update the regular internet site. After booking you got the correct information.
Campground was quite nice with the lakes and goats

This was our second visit to Roy's and I was really impressed with the staff, they helped us get into our campsite and helped us with a water leak. The New Year's Eve party had a free bar, great food and champagne and a cash confetti drop. Thanks to everyone. Oh yes they have added more campsites. Full hook-ups with sewer!

My husband Ken and I had a wonderful first time visit to the Hideaway last weekend. The weather was perfect, and in addition to the beautiful scenery and facilities, there are some phenomenal people that live and work there. Thank you Roy, Jorge, Eduardo, Steven, Frankie, Topher, Ozzie and Ken, and many others for making our stay so enjoyable. Your generosity was obvious to us and many other campers and like them, we look forward to returning soon.

Upon initial decision to explore what I know call “GA’s gem and best kept secret” I was a little hesitant to go to a campground for the LGBTQ community. When I arrived every piece of worry went out the window. Honestly the staff couldn’t have been nicer and more thorough. I felt safe from the moment I entered until the moment I left. We started off on a tour which the staff didn’t have to do but they were kind enough to show me around. It should be noted when I arrived while it was dark. I didn’t have an RV or camper so I hung by the pool and got in the jacuzzi. Both were great, met

This was our first trip and we weren't really sure what to expect. From the moment we arrived the staff made sure we were comfortable and had all we needed. They staff and residents go out of their way to make sure you are comfortable and having a good time. Every time you see one of them they wave or say hello. The pool area is clean and well maintained. The music being played was a mix of anything you might want to hear. The bar was clean, and the staff friendly. The camp ground itself is peaceful and secluded. We highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a quiet getaway

We arrived in a rain storm and the staff assisted us right to our camp site. The staff and fellow campers were kind and generous and one neighbor ‘Ozzy’ gave us a souvenir camper that looked just like ours. The facilities are clean and well maintained. The showers were hot with great pressure. If you don’t have a camper there are cabins and a bunk house. The pool and hot tub are central, beautiful arrangement with many chaises for both sun and shade. Overall great experience

Wonderful. Well kept facilities. The breakfast was just perfect and all the other food we ordered. The pool was so clean and well kept. My husband and I plan to visit again soon. We went over the 4th of July and the fireworks display was better that most cities would have. The staff were helpful, friendly and made sure our stay was perfect. Drag Show was just wonderful and better than at a lot of bars I have visited. So close to Savannah too. We went there for a day visit.

Please don't go to this campground..I stayed for 2months and had a roach infestation (palmetto, German and Asian roaches) in my camper to the point I had to sell it and leave it there. The cafe and corral are also infested. The owner Roy moved in and hired a Terminex worker who stays on property 24/7 but it's beyond this mans capability to fix. The owner takes no responsibility for the things that happen on his grounds and is a complete liar about many many things at this campground...campers beware,he's in it for your money , not you or the experience.

We couldn't have had a better experience during our time at The Hideaway. From the moment we arrived, we could feel the warm and love radiating from the grounds. The property is vast and provides the perfect escape from the outside world. It is evident that the team works tirelessly to create a welcoming environment to all who stay here.
The campground is immaculate and it is noticeable that they care deeply about the health and well-being of the LGBTQ community. The team goes above and beyond to clean, disinfect and sanitize all areas of the campground constantly. Their diligence in doing

What an amazing visit. We were at a different campground and it was awful. We came here by accident, but we will be back. Roy is incredibly warm and welcoming as are the rest of the guys there. We felt instantly welcomed and part of the group.
The facilities are beautiful. Roy has put a ton of time and effort and thought into making this a wonderful destination. We brought our RV and had easy in and out and the hookups were easy. The site was level (a pet peeve of mine) and had great views.
Loved the trails and the thoughtful touches everywhere. We didn't get to try the outdoor

A beautiful place and a nice surprise. We booked in for 2 days and stayed for 5. Roy & Eduardo make you feel like family from the moment you arrive. The staff and seasonal campers also go out of their way to make you feel welcome. The grounds are amazing, full of lakes and beautiful scenery. The salt water pool area and spa is so welcoming and clean. There's lot to do in the area as well. We visited a cute local winery just 30 minutes down the road and Savannah is just a quick hour away. We wished we had more time to explore the area. Roy's Hideaway is a must see for
