Services
The beginning of Rinehart and Sons Funeral Home dates back to 1931. In 1946 George William (Bill) Rinehart purchased the Tanner-Poindexter Company's funeral home in Jesup and began operating it under the name of Rinehart Funeral Home. In 1963 Bill Rinehart and his older son George William (Billy) Rinehart, Jr. formed a partnership and renamed the funeral home Rinehart and Sons.
Our owners and operators are Linda Rinehart Williamson, George William Rinehart, III, Leslie Rinehart Miller, and Gene Rinehart. We strive to serve your needs and best interests in a caring and professional manner! We are always available 24 hours a day, every day of the year, for assistance and guidance - regardless of when our services are needed.
Of all the things that you can do for your family, planning and funding a funeral in advance may be one of the most considerate and caring. It is a way to ease their minds and comfort them in their time of need. And, it is something that you can do today; Rinehart and Sons Home makes it easy and affordable.
Someone you love has died. You are now faced with the difficult, but important, need to mourn. Mourning is the open expression of your thoughts and feelings regarding the death and the person who died. It is an essential part of healing. The following articles provide many practical suggestions to help you move toward healing in your unique grief journey.
Most of us are not prepared to plan and carry out a funeral ceremony for someone we love. And so much of the information available on this critically important subject fails to focus on what is most important: having a personalized, meaningful funeral that helps families and friends begin the healing process of mourning after the death of someone we love.

My mother passed away in November and my father died just four months after her. Rinehart and Sons level of compassion, caring, and love is unsurpassed. This was an extraordinarily terrible time for my family and the dignity and professionalism in which they cared for my parents AND US made our grief much easier to bear.

The Rinehart"s have always been like family to me, but total devastation rocked my world when I found out my son had been killed in an accident. Leslie, Linda, William and the whole crew treated us with pure kindness and gold. At a time in my life when I am the lowest, they've been there to help pick what pieces they can up again. They are the best at what they do and beyond. You couldn't ask for better people or a better family.

This place does not even deserve one star but since one star is the lowest and there are no negative stars, one it is. My daughter had a still born son. His father called to arrange a creamation. The " kind" lady on the phone informed this heartbroken father that they didn't make money off of babies! I don't need to say more. Her comment speaks for itself!

William Rinehart is a truly extraordinary man. He and his family welcomed ours with nothing but comfort, patience, peace and support. They were so thoughtful and caring; I believe they wanted the service to be as perfect as we had hoped for and they exceeded all hopes down to each and every last detail. The celebration of my Grandfather's life was an honorable and unforgettable event.
