With investment roots that stretch back to 1982, today Stanwich Partners LLC focuses on acquiring lower tier middle market and small companies, with a particular emphasis on acquiring and mentoring family owned firms. Unlike many private equity firms that rely upon limited partnerships with finite life spans for their equity capital, Stanwich Partners represents several family offices and an affiliated network of private investors.
Stanwich Partners typically acquires controlling interests in companies with a record of established and profitable operations. Manufacturing or value added distribution businesses focused on industrial, commercial or consumer products. Sales in the $5MM to $75MM range and/or enterprise values of $5MM to $35MM; in select circumstances, we may consider acquisitions above or below this range.
Stanwich Partners, LLC makes direct, control investments in privately held companies and will periodically commit investor capital to limited partnerships focusing on specific segments of the private equity market place. Since 1982, Stanwich Partners, LLC and its predecessors have acquired over 65 companies with an aggregate value of over $1BB.
Stanwich Partners LLC raises the equity component of its transactions through an affiliated net-work of investors. Generally, we prefer to work with accredited investors willing to commit a minimum of $250,000 toward funding one or more transactions. In select circumstances, we offer investors subordinated debt co-investment opportunities in specific transactions.
A co-founder of Stanwich Partners, LLC, Tom is responsible for negotiations, providing operational analysis and strategic planning leadership. Prior to joining Stanwich Partners, Tom was President and CEO of Bryce, the world's leading designer and manufacturer of address printers, which was successfully sold to Pitney Bowes.
