To hold an event date, The Barn requires a signed rental agreement and 50% of the rental fee as a non-refundable down payment. The balance is due 60 days prior to the event. A 100 acre farm that sits only eight miles south of downtown Charlottesville, became our happy home. A beautiful three story fieldstone bank-barn was erected in true timber frame fashion, and became the centerpiece of the property.
Over the years, it has become home to several beloved horses, a donkey, some cows, and one small pig. It has been filled to the roof with sweet smelling hay, and the earthy smell of firewood stacked high. Fence boards surrounding the nearby pastures, and the exposed wooden slats inside The Barn were milled on site from the trees that were cut to create our rolling hayfields and beautiful views.

We absolutely love The Barn at Turkey Ridge, not only for the beauty of the venue but also for the beauty of those who run it. Millie and Judy are the sweetest and most helpful venue managers, helping us find multiple of our wedding vendors and to visualize our big day. Not only that, they easily accommodated our shift from an April wedding to last weekend, a rescheduling request no one wanted but that was needed amid a global pandemic.

We loved everything about this venue--the barn is beautiful and has so much character, the surrounding scenery is gorgeous, and Millie made us feel like members of the family from the moment we stepped out of the car for our first visit! That's exactly how we wanted our guests to feel on the day of our wedding, and the venue set that tone from the beginning. It's helpful that they only do one event per weekend, so we had a lot of flexibility with timing and set-up. I also appreciated that the barn gave us an easy rain plan...which we did end up needing, unfortunately.

Our experience with Millie and Judy at The Barn at Turkey Ridge was flawless. We were initially drawn to the red barn exterior and warm wooden interior, but after visiting, fell in love with so much more than just the appearance of this venue. Millie and Judy have captured the spirits of the many wonderful weddings in their barn through thoughtful touches like canvas images of brides in the getting ready area. All of the nooks of the barn are carefully designed, from the stunning hotel chandeliers, to the ADA bathrooms and wedding party loft. And of course Millie and Judy were an absolute joy to

Oh my goodness! What a beautiful place and it is run by 2 wonderful women! The barn is exquisite, beautiful kept, the stone work on the outside is so lovely, and you can feel the extra love and thought that has been put into this venue. They were so great to work with and so helpful. Thank you so much for making my vow renewal so memorable!
