Aluminum recycling is the process of melting down products made of aluminum for reuse in other products. Aluminum is a lightweight, non-magnetic metal that can be recycled over and over again. Recycling aluminum helps reduce costs and our environment using only 5% of the energy that new aluminum requires.
Brass is an alloy made of various portions of copper and zinc. By varying the amount of copper and zinc, properties can be changed creating variations of soft and hard brass. Red brass has reddish appearance due to the higher amounts of copper in it and typically has a higher value. Although red brass is not as common it is still a regularly recycled material desired by scrap metal dealers due to its higher copper content.
