This is one of two Indian restaurants in Utica area. They offered buffet before the covid pandemic but not now. Taj Mahal is a Halal restaurant and offers wide selection of Indian dishes. Their mixed grilled, tandoori chicken and beef curry dishes are good. Their meat samosa is good too. They prepared their food really quick and always fresh and hot. Prices are fair.

One of the best restaurants and buffet in all out of New Hartford and Utica NY combined. I highly recommend going to the buffet every single food is infused with flavors. I wish the buffet was open right about now it's closed due to Covid 19 but you can order from the restaurant. It's a shame I would have loved to take my entire family again and with my friends. The food gets and easy 10/10 and their signature drink mango lassi is AMAZING.

I’ve been coming here since I was about 15 (I’m now 21). I have never and I mean NEVER had a bad meal here. I’ve had Indian food all around New York and it never quite shapes up to The Taj Mahal in New Hartford! The staff always greets me with a smile and at this point know me so well that they know when I forget to order things and add it into my order for me so I’m not sad later! They are absolutely wonderful. Best Indian establishment EASILY! If I was on death row the lamb biryani would be my last meal.
