Happy Times Learning Center DE Star level 4 (HTLC) is a small, home-based school with all the bells and whistles of the larger centers. We are small enough to offer our children a personal touch. Here, children are not a number or a quota. We at HTLC are just like a big family. HTLC is a Montessori inspired learning program. We believe that to achieve well rounded development, we should provide the children a home-like environment that helps in bringing out a child's potential by giving him or her hands-on.
Services
Ensuring the safety and security of all the children at Happy Times is our top priority, and we have taken strict measures to ensure that our infrastructure reflects this philosophy. All HTLC household adults and subs have cleared FBI, state, and local background checks and meet specific training and home safety requirements.
HTLC participates in the Child Care and Adult Food Program (CCFP), which reimburses family/home daycare providers for meal served to children in family childcare. The program ensures that your child will receive two thirds of his/her daily nutrition requirements while present at the daycare. The CCFP enables us to serve intuitionally balanced, high quality food at no cost to parents.
Early child screening is key to providing an effective literacy program. Each aspect of HTLC curriculum, combined with the assessment initiatives set by DE State guides when selecting screening tools. Mrs. Mallick is certified and trained to administer the Red Leaf Assessment for Family Child Care and ASQ-3 Questionnaire in a wide range of setting.
Mrs. Mallick is formally trained in Montessori and High Scope Curriculum. We follow a HighScope, "Plan -Do- Review" philosophy (www.highscope.org) and implement it with Montessori material on daily basis according to the needs and interest of the children. Welcome to the preschool year; the most critical and pivotal two years for determining your child's lifelong learning ability.
Happy Times pride in being a positive place for children of all ages. HTLC goals are to provide a safe, fun and positive environment for the youth. We offer before and after school programs to assist kindergarten to eighth grade children in developing self-esteem, values social and practical life skills.

Initially I had my doubts because its home based, like all parents I also wanted to send my child to a big school like Red lion Christian academy or learning express. And yes my son went
to Learning Express for a year.
He is 4 years now and I wanted to give him the best education, experience and care he could have.
After visiting Mrs Mobina's Happy times I was like I'm ok to give it a try for few weeks.
Now that he is going to Happy times regularly I have to say that I'm really impressed, happy and confident that I have made the right decision.
