I started my firm with one goal in mind: to provide old fashioned customer service to people in need. I grew up believing that customer service was the best approach to running a business. With that background, I decided to open my law firm. I found knowing a bit about me helps clients understand how my firm runs.
I represent people. My clients are real people with real problems who need help in a friendly, non-judgmental way. My clients need someone who can listen and help them achieve their goals. My clients want to be able to talk to a real person and not be put through a maze of people, but want access to me.
For the last 15 years, I have worked with consumers who have fallen behind on their bills. At some point, most Americans will fall behind on a bill. It could be due to a family emergency, illness, or job loss. My practice runs the gamut from the first time you fall behind to litigation. Once you get behind, I can negotiate with creditors, either a lump sum payment or set up a payment plan so you can avoid the stress of litigation.

My experience in handling cases comes from over eight years as an insurance adjuster. In that time, I handled auto claims, motorcycle claims, boat claims, airplane claims, and a variety of other types of injury claims.

I contacted Jonathan when I was going through a landlord issue in regards to my security deposit after I moved out of my apartment. He was honest, thorough and overall put me at ease. I have used Jonathan G. Stein for multiple issues over several years (about 8 yrs). He has given free advice on all of my initial consultations and is always pleasant and knowledgeable. Throughout a few weeks we could not get John to reply to any phone calls to resolve an extremely simple situation. He only replied to email, I feel he was trying to extend communication and remained argumentative just to get money from his clients.
We managed to make an agreement, with missed deadlines on his/his clients behalf, and he continued to be argumentative over a simple exchanging of keys.

When Jonathan states that he helps people and not corporations, he means it! After losing my sister, we had to find a lawyer to help us deal with her estate. Jonathan has been helping me with a complicated tenant case. It's been such a headache especially during covid and Jonathan has been like a beacon of light and calm in a raging storm. What stood out to me initially was that unlike other lawyers, he didn't charge for an initial consultation. Jonathan is a very knowledgeable and patient lawyer to work with. About two years ago, we had a tenant who was causing us a ton of headache due to late rents and more. Although this is a tough review to write because it highlights some of my past negative marks Jonathan did such a great job that I must share the great work he did. When I was looking for people who could help with my credit it was not easy to find reviews of people. I'm assuming it's because no one wants to admit they had/have issues.
