The lady straight lied to my face. I go in say I need my car alignment done. She says no problem we can do that but it's by appointment only, I say that's fine lets get me on that calender. So she goes into her computer looking for available appointments. while doing so she asks when I purchased the tires from them. I said I didn't purchase the tires from them. So she stops what's she's doing looks me dead in the eye and says and I quote "oh well we just can't do it because well we just don't have the man power " I stood there stunned, my jaw dropped as I just aqwa

I have given this shop a lot of business in the past. The owners are always a bit cranky. The younger guy who works there should be the only guy that should interact with the customers. Extremely nice person. The reason I gave it a one star is there were several deep scratches on my car after they put my winter tires on. They had to know what happened but just didn't report it to me. I dont have the time to battle this problem out with them, so I won't be giving them anymore business.

I try to go local owned. This place has good prices. No appointments, you just show up and they either fit you in or not.
The older lady that works the counter is a snippy handful.
The staff is all miserable and openly squabble in front of the customer waiting room.
Good prices, good work, crusty cranky customer service.

If I could give zero stars I would. AWFUL AWFUL experience, I'll never be back, nor will any of my family or friends (which I found out after my bad experience that most of them stopped going there anyway). I planned to get winter tires put on today but wasn't sure if they would have time, so I pulled into the parking lot since there was no street parking, so I could run in and ask them some questions about getting new tires put on. When I pulled in the parking lot and started to walk across the street some lady (the owner, Heather) told me, not asked, and in the rudest tone, to park

This is the definition of mom and pop shop. The prices are great, the service is fast and they back all of their products simply because "they like to take care of their customers." If you're looking for a mass manufactured tire shop that tries to rip your face off this is not the place to go. However, if you're looking for a small town family run business with free entertainment provided by the constant bickering between the older couple that run the place this is your spot. Highly recommend and it makes me happy that places like this still exist in 2018.

This place is absolutely fantastic for service and friendliness. The front man is so nice and honest and eager to please while making you feel welcome. He will chat with you your entire stay if you want and is always cracking jokes and being funny. He's very honest and will do his best to work out any problem you have and fix it if his shop can.
The parking is crazy because of the small streets of Portage and how busy they usually are. As I said in my tip, call ahead to confirm your tires are in to make sure your experience is a quick and easy one.

I called an made an appointment to get four new tires and an alignment. My appointment was for 2:00 and showed up at 1:30 thinking I would be of help. The woman said I would have to wait until 2:00 they only tech that does the alignments was at lunch. No problem I just thought I was helping them. During the wait in their waiting room periodically from what I assumed was the son-in-law due to the negative comments about women was very disgusting being a woman and a few other ladies were in the waiting room as well. My vehicle is finally done and it's $750 later. I go outside and the man

The Tire Shop has been the main place I buy my tires for years. It gets very busy pretty much every day, so my advice is to try to get there early. It's also a good idea to call ahead and make sure they have your tire size in stock, especially if you're like me and keep your cars for a long time. The older the car, the less chance a shop will have the tire size in stock.
The Tire Shop has also been able to fix tires that other shops have told me were unfix-able. The Tire shop has great prices and does a good job of getting you out the door and on your way, even when it is busy.
