Services
Better Than Before will price your garments based on current market prices and past selling history of similar items. It is our desire to make our consignors a maximum return on their items while still providing the customer with a significant bargain. Each item is evaluated independently. Factors such as brand, style, age, condition, demand, and showroom space will play a role in pricing.
Can I tell you how much I want for an item? You are certainly welcome to tell us if a certain item has an above-average value. It always helps to know the retail price of an item. We are happy to try to accommodate our consignor's desires when possible, but ultimately we must depend on our 22 years' experience and knowledge of market values in the resale industry.
Better Than Before is the largest consignment/resale program in the North Alabama area. We've spent 22 years providing quality and dependable resale services to our consignors and unmatched stylish selections to our customers. Our experience and research has given us a keen instinct and acute knowledge of the market value of the pieces we accept.
Accepting an item means we're confident it will sell. That confidence comes with 20 years' experience and a basic knowledge of what our customers are looking for. Our decision to turn an item away should never be perceived as personal. We have simply learned through trial and error what will and will not sell.
We are not able to provide returns or exchanges because all consignor accounts receive their portion of the price immediately upon completion of the sale. We do however offer several fitting rooms for your convenience. We accept cash, VISA, MC, Discover, Paypal and checks with a valid picture ID & 2 phone numbers.

The stores are great! However, the online shopping experience was not the greatest! Didn’t receive what was shown online. Also, They don’t mark the clothes down anymore. Bought a pair of shorts with a tag from July for the price they was in July and it’s December. I guess it’s good for the consigners but not so much for the buyers. The website however says they markdown every 30 days.
