We are a loving and caring family-owned business. Our family started with a small 1,000 square foot Polish Deli in Chicago near 57th and South Pulaski. We were there many years before opening our Palos Hills location. Today, we are looking to continue our effort in providing fresh grocery, meat, and deli to the Chicagoland area.
We differentiate ourselves from other grocery stores by providing an abundant assortment of European items. Yes, you can still find your everyday grocery needs at our stores. But, where else can you take home fresh home cooked European meals and pick up delicious smoked meats and fresh desserts. Our goal is to serve you courteously, respectfully, and quickly while being the highest quality and freshest market and deli.

For me being in a Polish grocery store is like being a kid in a candy store. I know next to nothing about Polish food. Stuffed cabbage and pierogi are the extent of my knowledge. So it was a discovery journey for me.
When you walk in you in you are greeted with a long counter full of different kinds of sausages. Then there were counters of cooked food and salads. There were many shoppers all speaking Polish. I asked for help and recommendations. The staff was very helpful and I came out with 2 grocery bags of food. Frankly I have forgotten most of the names of the food I bought already. Nevertheless

I've been looking for a good Polish deli ever since Bobaks closed near Midway. This is not close for me but it is near my seamstress who recommended Lassak. Just like walking into a European country grocery, thankfully where everyone speaks English. I brought my mom a hot lunch which she loved. Bought myself some frozen pierogi and grilling kielbasa. Can't wait to try it all.

Really good variety of fresh eastern european foods! They even have the molded cheese you fry in a pan like they do in Zokopane Poland! The meats counter can be somewhat intimidating for the non polish speaker but just get in there and order and point! :)
Would come back here again and go out of my way to do so.

I've been meaning to stop in here for a while, and the other night i didn't have any idea for dinner so I did just that. Lassak is exactly as the name implies, its a small Market and Deli. You can do some quick shopping, or stop in for some food. I made my way to the hot food counter. You can get "whole dinner" for about $7.99 i believe it was, which comes with 2 meats, 2 sides, and soup. It's a lot of food for the price. The food has a homey comfort food type appeal to it. I enjoyed everything i had, especially the dumplings and potato pancakes. I will def be

Ok I'm feeling generous with those two stars. Just picked up lunch from there and guess what? It's almost like I took my $9 and threw it down the drain. For almost ten bucks I can have a pretty big lunch from Mariano's or Whole Foods and I will enjoy every bite of it. The food I got from Lassak- Jesus just plain horrible. Tasted like it's been frozen for 20 years and reheated another 20 times.

Good neighborhood grocery store but the produce selection is somewhat limited which makes doing all of my grocery shopping at this store alone impossible, despite the fact that it's half a mile from my house. The fresh bread and meat department are very high in quality and selection, that is if you're looking for pork. The desserts are also absolutely fantastic, especially if you're in the market for a single serving.
The one thing I don't particularly care for is the $8 minimum purchase in order to use a credit card. I use my card for absolutely everything these days so if

This is an excellent place to get virtually any type of Polish food imaginable! It is always jam packed but the service is great so the wait is never too long. Everyone there is friendly and helpful yet they are very efficient. The parking lot is pretty small but you'll see the owner out there directing traffic, which speaks volumes to what kind of place this is. To be the kielbasa and kabanosy are unmatched- just phenomenal!
