Dr. Elena Koles has over 25 years of experience as a physician. She created the Optimal Health Center to focus on the needs of Chicagoland's patients who can't find relief in just Western medicine alone, but still want a highly qualified MD to direct their treatment. Western medicine has helped many critically ill patients, but it's less capable of preventing and mediating chronic diseases.

Many of us who suffer from arthritis, diabetes, hypertension, and other illnesses will most likely be prescribed medication for symptom relief. As we get older, our medication dosage gets larger. But it still only masks symptoms and does nothing to the underlying cause of illness. Presently, there are numerous drugs on the market, yet many people feel more fatigued and suffer from more diseases than their grandparents.
One months before a detoxification and chelation program is started, Dr. Koles will order blood and allergy tests along with tests that assess your digestion, GI tract microbial flora, nutritional status and toxicity levels. This will help us tailor your detoxification program and monitor your progress.
