It is over a month ago that I had the insert installed and though I complained about the log array the next day, I have not heard back from the local contractor with the QuadraFire franchise.
The current array is like watching the flames on a gas stove.
It puts out a nice heat, but the $5K, I was expecting that it would also be pleasing to look at. Would not select this product again and am hoping that they will contact me at some point.

We bought a Quadra-Fire gas fireplace insert 4 - 5 years ago. After about two years, it stopped working well, The flame would creep back to the back left corner and the heat level would fall accordingly. I have gone to the Quadra-fire company and to my dealer. Neither was willing to help me because the unit is no longer within its warranty period.
I would strongly recommend AGAINST buying any products from this company.
