Services
Roller Weight Loss & Advanced Surgery employs a multidisciplinary, team approach to provide specialized bariatric medical care. Our program coordinator assists each patient with all phases of the program. Dr. Kristin Roller leads the medical side of the team and evaluates each patient thoroughly from a medical perspective prior to weight loss surgery (bariatric surgery).
At Roller Weight Loss & Advanced Surgery, our team of surgeons, physicians, nurse practitioners, registered dietitians, and professional staff evaluate and counsel patients from start to finish of their weight loss journey. Our weight loss program uses a unique team approach with the foundation of devotion and passion for what we do, inspiring both life-changing and life-saving results.
Advanced Laparoscopic Surgery (ALS), a minimally invasive surgery, serves as an advanced surgical technique performed through small incisions using cameras and long, skinny instruments. ALS results in reduced post-operative pain, fewer complications, shorter hospital stays, and quicker recovery times compared to traditional open surgery.
The laparoscopic Roux-en-Y Gastric Bypass leads to weight loss through two mechanisms: restriction and malabsorption. The restriction is done by reducing the size of the stomach, limiting the amount of food you can eat before you feel full. Malabsorption occurs as a portion of the small intestine is bypassed, reducing the amount of food the body will absorb.
Over the last few years, a less invasive version of the traditional duodenal switch (DS) has become an option for many patients. This is known as the Modified Duodenal Switch (ModDS). It is also sometimes referred to as SADS, SIPS, SADI, SADI-S, or Loop DS procedure. Instead of two connections as in the roux-en-y gastric bypass, or the more traditional duodenal switch, a single connection is made in a so-called loop configuration.

Their billing is a joke. They overcharge patients, then when you question it they inform you 'there is a credit on the account' (even though they collect money at every visit beyond when you overpaid at the very FIRST VISIT). Many of their fees are not covered or even submitted to the insurance. Their 'detailed billing' is so convoluted with codes that it's impossible to translate without transcriptional training. It's no wonder their facility is so nice, they overcharge every money source that walks through the door!

Roller Weight Loss did a great job for my family and myself. Down 100 lbs with more to go. They have wonderful customer service and follow up. They can easily be reached for questions or concerns. They have a great staff and everything, except surgery, is done right there in the office for your convenience. Very happy with my decision. Wish I had done it sooner!

The folks at Roller Weight Loss go to great lengths to answer all your questions and put you at ease. The staff are the best I have dealt with as to how they treat and interact with patients. I had the surgery 18 days ago and by following their program I am down 34 pounds so far. The Doctor's communication with my family post op was missed by my wife but Dr Roller made sure to call again the next day to speak directly with her and tell her how things went. The extra effort is greatly appreciated. Will definitely recommend the RWL group to anyone thinking about weight loss surgery.

I had a DS the last week of May in 2019. This surgery has completely changed my life. I am currently down 115 pounds, and am off of all of my medications for my heart and lungs. I am finally able to enjoy life and walk without being out of breath! I went from a size 24 pants and 3X shirts to currently size 12 pants and Medium shirts. I met my goal, but I’m not to the goal my doctor set yet. I’m still losing, so I know I’ll get there! Thank you to the Roller team for giving me my life back!
