Great surgeon, HORRIBLE nursing staff. My dad just underwent an extensive back surgery. He has been waiting for his pain medication for over an hour. We’ve called the nurses’ desk three times, gotten nothing but attitude from the desk. He’s a double amputee confined to his bed. He’s still sitting here in pain, with no one coming to see about him.

My experience here was horrible not only my aunt was fighting for her life and things was already stressful. The nurse that was over my aunt was very rude. Every time we asked a question it was the rudeness and the rolling eye like she can give a dam about our love one that’s sitting here about to die. She was mad like she missed her hair appointment or something. At this time we are trying to get a report to a chief administrator if we can get in touch with someone and we will not stop til we do. I would never ever bring any of my relatives or friends there better yet my cat or dog. Very unprofessional

Giving this hospital one star is too much. My father was brought to this facility for a severe stroke and we ended up staying for over 40 days. Only a handful of doctors were helpful in my dads recovery. The case management team is an absolute joke. They lied to me about placement options, had a doctor lie to me about where he was being placed, and when I finally allowed the discharge because I thought it was a safe discharge plan they scheduled it for 10pm! When I got to the facility and realized their mistake I tried to correct it and the supervisor of the case manager just said "what do you

I was feeling bad today so I went to the emergency room. There were about 50-60 people sitting near me with no masks on just coughing. I got up and went to the check in desk and asked them if it wasn’t mandatory for everyone in the waiting room to have on a mask. The Two people back of the desk really didn’t care about what I was saying. I seen how they were interacting with the people in the waiting room. They did not wear gloves as they were touching on the patients. I work at a hospital and what I seen today the state should come and fine them.

LOURDES..The hospital where ppl go to die. Even if you're going there for a checkup. Pray you come out alive. They used to be known for this before they move where they are now and got a new face-lift and a new location, but their practices never changed. Everyone would rather go wait for hrs some for days at the charity hospital before they would go to Lourdes. And now Lourdes have brought all the hospitals in lafayette and new iberia..so if you don't want to be in their network you'll have to travel...I think they even got their claws in Baton Rouge and New Orleans...so good luck

My husband had a minor accident offshore and was brought there. The rooms were not full and it didn't seem to be real busy. When I entered the ER room, there was dry blood on the floor from the previous patient and it was quiet some time before anyone came in the room so I could ask questions. The doctor did not take much care in stitching my husband's head wounds as we had to SEE A PLASTIC SURGEON TO CORRECT HIS STITCHING JOB. He said had we not gotten the stitches corrected, my husband would have had a permanent gap in his head and it may not have healed correctly. ALSO, THE BILLING

I'm reading some of the reviews and while I certainly hate to be at hospitals, this place isn't bad at all.
I've unfortunately had both of my In-laws stay here several times in the last 3 or 4 years and overall this is a nice place. The rooms are clean as you would expect but they also have lounge chairs and even extra beds within the rooms so that a loved one can stay the night and not have to sit in a chair all night.
The staff has always been friendly and the food in the cafeteria is actually pretty good. My mother in law has been here the last few days and we just might

My family member had surgery 6/26/2019. From the preop nurse Michelle (with her beautiful salt and pepper) hair, to the anesthesiologist Dr. Bordelon and Dr. Williams. Everyone was so kind and helpful. My family member had to stay over night. The hospital staff was very informative as well. Raena or Raella was her name (I know for a fact I am misspelling her name) she was the CNA I believe or the aid. She was SUPER nice. I felt like I was talking to one of my friends. She took excellent care of my family member. There were several nurses (Jennifer was the first one) that took care of my family

Unprofessional and horrible staff. Went in for my wife's heart condition. Was told we would have a room in about a half hour. Waited for three and a half hours. Went to see what the issue was and was told that she had a room over an hour ago but someone accidently took her off the board. Got a temporary room in ER and a few hours pass and we are told they have a room for us in about an hour. 4 hours later and still no room. Customer relations woman happened to check on us and I tell her what's going on and wonder why we still don't have a room. About twenty minutes later we are told

There is a lazy nurse named Jennifer. I love Lordes, they are clean and kind. But watch out for her. She is a neglectful nurse. Like I understand if you don't know how to do your job but at least notice when your patient has something wrong with them. All you had to do is look at them, identify the problem and tell someone else. Like geez. Please give her more training. She obviously needs it.
