Services
Roy Foster's Automotive is a family-owned business providing comprehensive auto repairs and automotive maintenance for drivers in Reno and Sparks, Nevada. From routine service to major fixes, we've got you covered. Our ASE Certified Master Technicians use high-quality NAPA parts to deliver exceptional results.
I am the proud owner of Roy Foster's Automotive. I was born and raised in Reno, Nevada. From the time I was a young kid I knew I wanted to own an automotive shop just like my father Roy Foster. My first automotive job was working for my father Roy in 1978. I started my automotive career off pumping gasoline, washing windshields and checking oil.
Our technicians use the latest technology to not only tell you if there are any problems with your vehicle, but show you. If we uncover an issue, we'll email a photo of it to you for your review. At the end of every visit you'll receive a detailed report regarding the general health of your vehicle.
Roy Foster's is outstanding in communicating with their client throughout the service process. In addition, I appreciate their willingness to reach out and work with our extended warranty company to support the process in getting the vehicle repaired. Great communication and service. Roy Foster's Automotive is very professional and they get the job done fast and well.
Four-wheel drive vehicles utilize more moving components and heavy-duty parts to handle the added stress they endure. In order to continue hauling, towing or climbing without fail, 4-wheel drive repairs are a must. You'll need new tires and brakes, and sooner or later new shocks and struts, a radiator replacement or even a transmission rebuild.

This is the family owned "home town" garage that everyone says they are looking for.The Fosters and their team never not step up when something needs to be either scheduled in advance or there is an emergency.

I had an appointment at 8am. Sat from 8-11am, no one got to me.
Went to my office to wait for a call back- it never came. I called them at 3pm and Brad said he'd call me back at 4. At 4pm Matt called me with the, "Sorry, can't get to it until Monday. We only have 2 guys in the shop who do diagnostics and it's not first come, first served."
Nice of you to mention that in advance.
Don't even bother doing business with people who don't value you, your business or your time. I hope to one day repay them when they come to my business, I'll have them wait

Roy Foster's Automotive is great to work with. They were able diagnose the problem and they worked with my warranty company to see what they would cover. They really went the extra mile. My Ford F150 was repaired running great and they were able to do it in a very timely way. I would recommend them to anyone looking for a reputable auto repair shop.

Love the transparency of the digital inspection and how it educated me to the condition and needs of my vehicle. This was in line with what the mechanic was suggesting and reaffirmed my trust in Roy Fosters. They’ve always offered honest solid work performed by knowledgeable technicians.

I put my trust in you and that was a mistake. My skid plate dropped and in doing so might have hit other things. I made the appointment for replacing my skid plate and checking water pump. It was Friday 8/13/2021. My quote came listing an air filter and drive belt. Also I have some type of oil leak. No mention of a skid plate that has been zip tied up and what my issue was to begin with. When I asked about it I was told it was fine and no issue. I had to request they order it and now have to spend another day without a car because by the time you were done with the check there was no time for repairs

I needed help to get fluid in my car because my boyfriend flaked on me... go figure! And the car needed help immediately.
I pulled in to the store and asked if I could get some help. I was told to go into the office and ask. I thought that they'd tell me no...but that was further from the Truth. A young man named Logan came out with a fabulous smile and asked how he could help. While he was under my hood, I found out he was just learning how to be a mechanic but the store was training him and it showed. By the time he had finished, I was impressed. I used only my own fluids and he was clear the

Roy Foster's Automotive located off Keystone. Hands down. Awesome place. Great and friendly and very informative customer service. Fast work and detailed. Love how they take pictures of your vehicle and email you with descriptions and explanations of what's wrong and why and etc. I had went to 3 different Automotive places before I was recommended to go here. I wish I would have known but now I do. I say if you want your vehicle taken care of the first time the correct info and decently priced. Come to these guys. They will handle it. Thanks so much!! You got a customer for life.

I was truly impressed with the courtesy and kindness that Brad showed today when helping me with a stubborn tail light assembly. From the initial phone call (where he graciously invited me to come on in, no appointment needed - other shops wanted me to book at least a week out) to putting it back together, he was genuinely happy to help. I'm glad to know that such a trustworthy shop is right in my neighborhood and I'll be back again for sure!

I called to make an appointment for an oil change. I told them that I would supply my own synthetic oil, they last put me on hold. When she came back she informed me that they don't allow that. I asked why, and she did that they are a warranty shop. That is complete BS. They wanted to charge me for the oil, its all about money. I will never take my vehicles there.

NEVER EVER GO HERE. EVER!!!!!!!!
My partner inquired to get an estimate for services to fix a window. We got a quote for $170 to repair the window if no parts were needed. Okay, sounds fine. Drop off the car to confirm price and what it includes: FIXING the window. They reach out later saying it will be over $500 to fix because they need a $50 part (yeah, it’s only $50). No way, that’s way out of price range. We declined any services. Show up to pick up the car and they ended up still charging us $170 for NOTHING. They didn’t fix the window at all. Unbelievable! What an absolute

Went in for a simple oil change. Oil was left spilled on the motor, dripped in several places. Of course I needed two new air filters which is fine but they failed to wipe the grease and dirt off the holders. My wiper fluid was low, funny since we had a conversation that they would fill it. All of this came to light because a greasy shop rag was dropped inside, caught in the belt, made an awful noise and I pulled over. I wish so much there was a place in this town I could trust and not worry about my car. The people were great, very nice and seemed professional but now there's just no way

I love this shop! They are fast, dependable and have fantastic customer service. Mike somehow always remembers who we are even though it takes months or longer before we have to come back for repairs or maintenance.
I will say that they are on the pricey side but I'm never disappointed with their service.

My husband is a former mechanic but when service is needed he takes our cars to this shop b/c his Man Cave was left behind at our old place. It irks my husband to pay for auto repairs but at least when he gets home from this shop he doesn't feel as though he was price gauged or taken for a ride. He says the employees are nice & don't oversell while I appreciate they always have the car ready when promised.

Was hesitant on taking my Jeep in to a mechanic knowing a lot of times shops overcharge you if your not Knowledgeable in knowing what exactly is going wrong with your car.
But after having a driveshaft replaced, fuel pump, and a few other things 2 months ago, I had the check engine light come on last week I called Mike who works at the shop there he got me booked in in 2 days and gave me a call an hour after I dropped it off and informed me that it was indeed the fuel pump and not to worry that it was under warranty and that they are replacing it free of charge.
Awesome customer service.

Thank you Roy Fosters for saving my vacation. 4 days before our camping trip my Ford F-350 7.3 Diesel sprang a major oil leak. I thought my vacation was over, but AAA recommended Roy Fosters and I called and they told me to bring it right over, that if they had a cancellation they would get me in otherwise they would try and have it done by Friday so we could leave for our trip. The very next day they had it on the rack and done by the end of the day. One day service, and got it done for far less than I expected it to cost me, $200. Very honest , fast and through work. I think I have found a new

We decided to visit the snow one last weekend before Spring beings this year.

After a quick 3hr drive from the Bay Area..only cuz no one else in their right mind would be up at 5am on their day off..we made it up to Reno. After a few hours watching him on the Craps machine, we catch a quick lunch at El Dorado.

Not wanting to spend all our income on Craps, we drive up to Cabela's to check out the taxidermy and outdoor goods. On the way back into Reno, our sensor goes off about a tire with low pressure. We found a nail.

Time--4:56pm

We fill up the tire at a gas station and they direct us
