Services
Midwest Bone and Joint Center specializes in orthopedic and sports medicine with offices located in Kirksville, Macon, Moberly, and Kirkwood. We are Mid-Missouri's one-stop shop for orthopedic care; we see our patients from initial non-operative treatment options through surgery until the completion of their rehab process.
If you've never visited Midwest Bone & Joint Center, all you have to do is call us and schedule an initial consultation. From the initial consultation, we will go on to evaluate you and assess any services we may be able to help you with. And if we do diagnose you, we will fulfill a treatment and recovery plan to make your experience as painless and simple as possible.
An MRI is a non-invasive test that is used to find and diagnose medical issues. In an MRI, a magnetic field and pulses of radio waves can scan and take pictures of organs and parts of the body which are normally not accessible or visible. Tumors, infections, bleeding, blood vessels, and abnormal issue can all be better investigated with an MRI.
We go the extra mile to make our patients feel like a part of our Midwest Bone and Joint Centers family. We're a community-centered organization and we pride ourselves on being advocates for keeping the community in motion. We strive to make our process as pain-free as possible, by providing the best possible care and by bringing you back to full health quickly.

Started off great, but due to the lack of patience and manners from the women (not including front desk); I had no choice but to switch. I was very surprised at how rude these women were to me! In my situation with a broken bone that hurts, you expect compassion and patience. Dr. Main was barely apologetic about how his staff behaved, and it was shrugged off. I was very disappointed in that because I gave this place a chance, even after learning about his background. This is unfortunate, but so far I've been happy that I switched to MU Orthopedics.

I felt very rushed through during my office appointment, he spent less than 5 min with me and then there was confusion on what injection to do when I arrived for my next appointment. Entire office in Fort Leonard Wood didn’t wear masks even when in contact with patients. This is very concerning that they are not following CDC guidelines, especially considering the increase in COVID numbers in our area. I gave it a couple times thinking maybe I should remain open minded, but at one appointment another patient asked him why he wasn't wearing a mask, and he replied "because I'm essential and I don

This place is terrible, they’ll make you wait 45 mins after your appointment time and tel you there’s nothing wrong with you when you’re in a lot of pain still. They love to charge you even if you have insurance. And to get personal, why would you want someone who’s beat there wife as a doctor to take care of you?
