Hancock is "The Gateway To The Delaware River". The East and West branches of the Delaware River converge at Hancock from opposing directions at the base of Point Mountain to form the headwaters of the Delaware River which eventually flow to the Atlantic Ocean. Atop Point Mountain is a mausoleum that was built by Dr. Frank Woolsey in the 1940's to house his remains.

Beautiful views, spacious cabin and well-stocked. But....window screens had so many holes, there were all kinds of bugs in our cabin. It was like being in a tent. The main reason we wanted a cabin was to have those amenities. Worse, there were rats!! Freaked out! Worst ever. Never coming back. Will see about cutting our vacation short!
Update 8/19/20:
We saw mice. We covered up the windows too. The mice chomped off the covers. They seemed to do this nightly. They knew where to enter thru and where to go. There were fecal droppings on the oven, kitchen counter tops, table. We had to cover up everything

Rented cabin #4. At first impression the most notable were the beer cans and garbage just barely hidden from under the porch. Then we were told that the key would be left in the door and it was not. It was left open so we were able to go inside. The cabin looked inviting but had a mildew odor. Next we decided to unpack and called about the missing key. No one answered the phone and we decided to leave a message. After 20 minutes we got a call back and were told the key should be there in the cabin. We searched everywhere and found no key. After several hours of waiting for someone to come
