Scheduled a consultation because I liked that they did custom pieces. Talk to the artist, came up with a rough sketch and was told it would take 1-2 months. Which was totally fine by me. I asked if I could put a deposit down and they said that the deposit can be put when we come in to look over the artwork and make final edits. A month goes by and no update. Two months pass by and I decided to call. The artist wasn't there but the person on the phone said they would leave a message. A few weeks go by and I didn't get a call back so I decided

Seemed like it would be a great place to get my tattoo went in talked to an artist got a quick 2 min sketch. then we talked about when the actual would be done, she says it will be about a month turn around and she'll call when its ready. 2 months later i call her to see how it is going she said she completely forgot and to give her another month and they'd call i didn't hear another word from them since dont recommend it unless you want to regret wasting your time.

I’ve been going to Black Tortoise monthly for well over a year now and have had a great experience every time.
The Staff - Genuine and professional. They’re all extremely down to earth and very knowledgeable about their craft.

Got a tat and so did wife. We walked in and gave them our ideas. Then he came up with the design and wife got hers on the first day and went and got mine 2 days later. The tat work is absolutely amazing and we plan on going back next year to get more. Highly recommend.

Got my first tattoo done here about 6 months ago. I don't remember the artist's name, but she was kind and patient. Basic matching design with my husband and she took us seriously even though I know it's bland and typical, very professional and patient. Had a tv and movies available for longer tattoos. Drew up a design in minutes, finished two tattoos in under an hour, and chatted the whole time.

Chris did an amazing job on my finger tattoos! He took the time to help me figure out a placement for them that had meaning and made sense with an existing one I already had. He also made sure to select just the right colors for each one. I appreciate all the care and attention to detail he gave my small tattoos :) I can’t wait to see how beautiful they look when they are fully healed!

What started out as a small piece on my arm ended up being a huge thigh piece, she was always willing to make any changes I wanted no matter how big or small.
