Hawkeye Fire & Safety is a locally owned and operated company that was started by William L Chadima Sr. in 1979. The business, which provides fire extinguishers and fire prevention supplies, first aid supplies and restocking, and carbonic gas fills and deliveries, began as a spin off company from Kacena Welding Supply.
In 1991, Bill Chadima Jr. took over his father's business and quickly expanded into a larger line of fire protection products, life safety items and one of the largest fire and safety service providers in Iowa. Today we have become a full service fire and safety supply distributor and sales warehouse with first aid and medical supplies, personal protective equipment, fire extinguisher and spill control products.

We contacted Hawkeye Fire & Safety for a Fire Protection assessment and quote after taking on this new property. Their Technician, Joe Sidebotham got right on it, and did a very thorough assessment of the properties. We received his quote in a timely manner and after approval, the installation was almost immediate. I'd work with these folks anytime and recommend the company and Joe very highly.

I use there services across the board. Fire Extinguishers, hood fire suppression, first aid, proper disposal practices, Co2 refills, PPE supplies, and advice. Their staff are professional, courteous, and on time. They take care of all our needs. I especially like that they are local and I highly promote local business.
