Pilates Method
Pilates Method in Lincoln is the first Pilates Studio in Nebraska. Owner and operator Connor Dawson is committed to delivering excellent, well-rounded workouts to meet each client's unique needs. The Studio is equipped with all the specialized Pilates equipment and is a warm and friendly atmosphere where you can work on meeting your personal fitness goals.

Imagine an exercise program that you look forward to, engages you and leaves you feeling fresh and alert with a feeling of physical and mental well being! Dawson is a Certified Polestar Pilates practitioner and a Certified Pilates Method Alliance Instructor. He has a wide knowledge in working with many injuries and populations, including pregnant women and senior citizens.
Services
Session 1: A private, 55-minute Pilates session beginning with a fitness evaluation and consultation of your personal fitness goals. This session includes an introduction to some basic exercises and the specialized pieces of equipment used. Session 2-4: A continuation of the first session to enhance your familiarity of the Pilates exercises, integration of proper breathing and skill level.
Having grown up with Pilates since I was five years old, I recalled early memories of playing on the equipment while mom was doing her own Pilates workout. Throughout the years, I have heard and witnessed testimonies of people's lives changed because of Pilates. How pain was eliminated and range of motion was restored.
Pilates is an innovative system evolved from the principles of Joseph H. Pilates that integrates the mind, body and experience. Joseph Pilates lived in the early 20th century in Germany, and as of 2005, there are 11 million people who practice the discipline regularly and 14,000 instructors in the United States.
Pilates gets your mind in tune with your body. By emphasizing proper breathing, correct spinal and pelvic alignment, and the complete concentration on smooth, flowing movement, you become acutely aware of how your body feels, where it is in space, and how to control your body's movement. In Pilates, the quality of movement is valued over quantity of repetitions.
