Services
Our caregivers are top quality, professionally attired private caregivers. We can provide assistance with all activities of daily living, ie., bathing, dressing, grooming, incontinent care, light housekeeping, laundry, meal preparation, and errands (beauty shop, bank, grocery store, senior center, pharmacy, doctor appointments) or, just a Kind Companion to help one feel safe and secure.
Kind Companions offices are licensed by the Texas Department of Aging and Disabilities Services. We work hard to help people needing non-medical assistance find caregivers to meet their needs. The Kind Companions Registry is an intermediary between the client and caregiver. You, the client, are in charge.
Kimberly Truax is an Assisted Living Manager certified by the state of Texas and a former state-certified nursing assistant. She has more than 20 years of experience and an extensive background in caring for seniors from personal care to the promotion of wellness through assisted living.
Through many years of her work, individually, and with one of the nation's leaders in senior living, she has developed a genuine love, respect and enthusiasm for seniors.Her grandmother, affectionately known as 'Maw Maw' was the inspiration for Kind Companions (pictured left.) Kimberly has built a team that is committed to creating a higher quality of living for seniors in Denton, Collin and Dallas counties.

The caregiver provides peace of mind and lets us know we can live our lives with comfort. The caregiver is dependable to do what I need and she is very pro-active and anticipates my needs. Having a companion for my mother provides peace of mind for all of us. Our caregivers have been highly personable and almost feel as though they are family.

Kind companions went above and beyond scheduling care givers when my mom came to live with me and I gave them very short notice. The caregivers are very and and compassionate. They have met all scheduling challenges with flying colors even in the midst the storm in February. I would highly recommend them to anyone who needs loving care for a family member.

Kind Companions took care of my Mother for over a year. Janet was the lady who was Mother’s companion and Mother loved her. Kind Companions makes a special effort to connect their clients with caretakers who are compatible. Kind Companions and their team of caregivers cared for my grandmother and several of my hospice patients/families. Kind Companions' caregivers are compassionate, patient, personable and trustworthy. Grandmother's caregiver became a part of our family. Grandmother always felt safe, and looked forward to Janet's daily visits. Our family is so grateful for the genuine bond that Janet created with Grandmother at the end of her life.

I need some help for my husband that was recovering from hip surgery while I attended a convention. Kind Companions was the perfect choice to provide assistance with meals and helping him get around the house. They also helped with feeding my cats! The staff is very friendly and professional. The name of the company says it all. I had been with the same Health care aide for nearly 17 years. After her retirement, I was looking for a new company to provide top notch services. I was blessed to have a friend in the industry who recommended Kind Companions to me. I have been with this company now nearly a year and there has not been a missed day of service. My assigned caregiver arrives every day promptly on time with tremendous enthusiasm and joyful attitude-a great way to start my day! The owners are very conscientious and clearly take pride in the services they provide.

A caretaker from Kind Companions took care of my Mother daily for several months before she died. The caretaker was a kind, compassionate, patient and loving servant/friend to my mother. Mother loved her! They did everything together, they played games, watched TV, talked, read the paper together, ate meals together and laughed together.
Our family was richly blessed by using Kind Companions.

After two bad experiences with health care companies for my 37 year old daughter with brain cancer, I finally called my friend, Kimberly (owner of Kind Companions)! From the first meeting with Kimberly and a caregiver, Kimberly was the most professional, empathtic, compassionate, and personal of all my previous introductions. She was the first person to turn her chair around to face my daughter and ask her what she wanted and needed! What an amazing company! From the owner, Kimberly to every staff person and caregiver, the client is top priority. Kind Companions cared for my mother, who had dementia and other issues, for about five years. Most of the time, it was 24/7. With only two exceptions, it was the same group of ladies who stayed with my mother to the end of her life. No matter when I stopped in to visit, mother was clean, dressed, well fed, and happily interacting with her caregiver.
