We stayed here while attending a concert at the casino. It was perfect, right off of hwy 61 and only a half hour from the venue. A little further than bigger hotels, but much less expensive. Our room was spotless and the towels and blankets were soft. It had a refrigerator and microwave for use. There's a fast food place right next door if you're tired from your drive and don't want to go far. The motel faces the lake and offers a beautiful sunrise. The owners are very lovely and helpful and I enjoyed chatting with them.

I stayed here in June and enjoyed it. I was on a cross country motorcycle trip and stopped in Lake City because I spent many summer weeks here as a child. It was close to 9PM when I arrived, having had a heck of a trip, including my GPS taking me down dirt roads with stream crossings on the WI side of the river. I was surprised to find the Sunset had vacancy. Never had any during the 80s. I pulled into the parking lot and called the number. The owner was friendly and got me situated in a nice room. We talked for a bit, and he seemed genuinely interested in hearing my stories about the motel from
