I had a home closing the next day, after another company did an inspection for the buyers, the unit no longer functioned. Everyone I dealt with was great. They were there within 2 hours, and found the inspector left the power off to the outside unit. Even after solving the issue quickly, they were very thorough and checked capacitors and Freon levels to make sure nothing else was going on. They saved the day!

I am very impressed with the services provided by Cool Change. JD's estimate to replace our 25 year old air handler + heat pump and replace the ductwork beat the other 4 estimates I had received. I was thrilled he honored that estimate when we finally decided to take the plunge and buy the new system months later. Chelsea ensured we had a smooth process from there forward scheduling and updating us with (accurate) team arrival times. I couldn't have asked for a better tech with Randy. Today I had my 2003 heater maintenance /service by Freddy. Freddy was awesome ! He took the time to explain the heater parts and function. You don’t always see a young professional take the time to share and explain to an older female the work he/she specializes. I am so impressed by Freddy! My expectations are high, they were met. We just had Cool Change replace our HVAC unit. They came out the next morning after our problem. Once we ordered the new unit, it was installed the next day. The technicians Simo, Randy, and Miles were all outstanding. Chelsea was more than outstanding in getting us a unit installed as quickly as possible. JD, Chelsea and Nikki were very professional in all of our dealings. It was very hot outside and Cool Change brought us a portable a/c unit for our downstairs while we awaited the new HVAC unit, which was a Godsend! New systems working perfectly but true to form, Cool Change has sent out quality follow up people to reinspect their installation, operating specs and answer any questions I had after using it for a couple of weeks. Definitely lost our business after our last experience with them. At first it was the coil in our furnace that needed to be cleaned, when I informed the owner of the company (JD) we would have to get a quote or two before moving forward with the job he started trashing other local heating and air companies saying "they'll just come in and slap something on" he then started claiming that it was now not just the coil that needed to be replaced but also the motor as well as the condenser on the outside unit. I had a great experience with Cool Change. I called them at 9:00 and a rep was at my house in less than two hours. Diagnosed and fixed within hours. But the most important thing is there were NO scare tactics to make you spend money on anything other than the diagnosed issue, no sales tactics to buy a new unit which was NOT the case with a couple of other big companies in town. Our AC didn't generate cold air for a few days, so we decided to request a quote through yelp's function to find a professional on HVAC system. I sent the same inquiry to five different companies in Raleigh/Cary area yesterday around the midnight and I found this morning that only JD replied me within 30 min and even offered me an appointment for today. On June 15 our AC failed to work and it was one of those hot days when the temperature went up to 99 degree. At 7PM I called a top rating HVAC service provider on Yelp and they said they could only come 7 days later, while calling other HVAC service providers just didn't yield me any response. Early next morning I texted 3-4 HVAC companies thinking some of those companies might be technically advance enough to use a mobile phone as their service number and could receive my texting. Cool Change was the only one returned my message and promised to come the same morning.
