Schweiss Doors is introducing an all-strap bifold door! Straps do the lifting and now straps do the latching too! It doesn't get any better than an all-strap door. The simplicity of the new latch strap is truly amazing! Schweiss did away with all the outdated cable lifts, chains, sprockets and pulleys; strap lift doors now have 90 percent less moving parts.
This is a real game changer in the bifold door world! Some manufacturers still continue to try and sell outdated cable lift bifold doors. Cable-lift doors not only require frequent maintenance dur to fraying, breaking and overwrapping, but also open much slower, are hard to adjust, are noisier, and not as safe as liftstrap doors.

Services
Ideas come from the darndest places! Take for example the birth of Schweiss Doors, rural Fairfax, MN, which today has thousands of its unique bifold and hydraulic doors providing quick, quiet and effortless entry to airplane hangers, commercial buildings and farm sheds across America and other parts of the world.
A friend commented, 'Mike, you build lots of different things. Why not a door that folds up?' Ironically, that very person died of a heart attack that same evening. But his idea didn't! The first Schweiss door manufactured was a 12' x 12' bifold installed on a Renville County Highway shed. The door is still in operation today.
From the minute you press the control button on your handy remote control, you'll be amazed at how this door functions. It's everything you want it to be and more. The unit has all the bells and whistles and comes with single or 3-phase electrical components. Easy to read psi pressure gauge, service filter and fluid temp gauges let you know that the door is always working properly and at full capacity.
Schweiss SMART Doors allows you to remotely connect to and manage your hangar whether you're at home, on the road, or even in the cockpit. Open or close the hangar door, adjust the temperature, view security footage and turn on engine/cabin pre-heat - with HangarBot you can control what is going on in your hangar, 24/7.
Schweiss Doors didn't just wrap our head around heavy-duty bifold and hydraulic door hinges, we went a step further and engineered a robust, user-friendly, greaseable hinges with a removable hinge pin.
The new hinge design, with grease zerks on every hinge segment enables bifold door owners-whether they be private individuals or commercial customers-to periodically grease their hinges from the underside of the doorframe without having to go through the cumbersome process of first removing the top rubber weather seal.

If you can avoid buying a door from these clowns-do it. Have called twice about an issue with a Schweiss hanger door and both times they took my name, serial number of door etc... and NEVER EVEN CALLED ME BACK!!! One call concerned a safety issue with one of the wire door lift cables-it frayed and broke. Good thing I wasn't laying under it. Do not buy from this Company.

We have a large hangar door but we needed to replace a walk in door.
It took months of fake promises and finally we where delivered last week with the wrong door. Now their customer service is trying to blame my contractor who did nothing but the right thing.
This company has issues and I would strongly recommend not to buy anything from them.

We purchased 2 Bi-Fold Doors from them.
One works no problem.
The larger door was designed with a single motor to lift the door.
Two months of back and forth when the door did not open, they sent a new motor saying it was a bad motor, made us pay for the replacement motor and that did not fix the issue.
They said ok we will send a speed reducer to lift the door.
It goes up no problem now, and it takes twice as long to open the door.
We stressed our frustration and wanted the door to go up correctly without it taking twice as long.
They said ok we engineered the door wrong and we will send

Terrible experience. They proudly state on their website that their strap conversion revolutionizes “any” bifold door. I paid them to come out and give me options on my existing bifold door. I had asked if a strap conversion were an option on my door and they didn’t even look to see if it was, they just sent me a bid for a new door. Then when I asked again about the conversion they said it should work just might have some clearance issues. No big deal since I have plenty of clearance for my 182. So I went ahead and purchased the conversion only to find out no one installs them. Now I have

Schweiss never repaired the door when they came out. They charged $1700. I hired a different company, who fixed the door for $500. I called Schweiss and they wouldn't refund me any money even after I sent them pictures of the problem with the door they did not fix. Please don't use this company. There are better ones out there..
