Divorce and family law issues are taxing - emotionally and financially. When choosing a family law attorney in Indiana, experience and temperament may be the difference between a messy divorce process or working through the process effectively and efficiently. As a family law attorney I work with my clients to provide quality legal counsel in a personal way.
Communication, cooperation, and collaboration are often difficult for parents who live in separate Indiana homes. In the day and age of quick communication via text and email, real communication is often lost. Separated parents often lose objectivity and perspective. Parent Coordination is a service I provide to help parents communicate for the welfare and the benefit of their children.
For parents of dependent children, a Last Will and Testament should include Trust language for the financial support of your children as well as naming the person or persons you wish to manage the Trust and take care of the children. In the event of death without a Last Will and Testament, the distribution of assets and care of the children is left to the laws of Indiana.
A loss at the Indiana state-court level (Circuit or Superior Court in your county) may not be the end of your case. If the judge made an error, you may be able to appeal that action to the Indiana Court of Appeals. At Carmel Family Law we are experienced in appellate practice.

Janice has been my attorney for a couple different things. Her honest and straightforward advice, realistic outlook, and her unwavering ethics have made her help invaluable to me.
