Used to book business travel - one of the seats on the first leg of my flight was not confirmed. When I reached out I was told that they did not confirm paid for seats, and that was the issue. This was confusing to me because the other 3 "paid for" seats I had booked were confirmed. This was frustrating. While I understand that there may be nothing they can do about my seat now it would have been nice if there had at least been an ounce of sympathy in the response.
When I expressed my frustration I was met with the following:

We booked our Costa Rican honeymoon through Julie at The Travel Agent, Inc. and could not have been happier! The planning process was fun and enjoyable (coming from someone who hates planning trips...), and we felt totally prepared as we left the country. Julie specifically recommended and booked the El Silencio Lodge & Spa, located in Bajos del Toro. We both agreed that staying at El Silencio was the highlight of our trip! Absolutely gorgeous property, surrounded by the peaceful cloud forest. The service was above and beyond, and we were able to enjoy local cuisine and traditions! Julie helped

We started in September to plan. Trip in June the following year. 3 week retirement vacation in the UK. We spoke with Brenda Walters. Specified the things we like what we wanted to see. A month later we receive and Itinerary with nothing we asked for. It was a pre packaged trip. We said theirs none of the sights we wanted to see. She says oh it's just a sample thought you might like it. January comes second itenarary same thing. So Febuarary we get an Email from Patti Lehman a new agent. She goes over the things we want and sends us an itenarary for 21 day trip with "15 days of leisure" she got

I wrote to them asking about a particular flight, and hoping to find a better deal. I am not new to traveling and I know how airline pricing works, but I was hoping that they might have a connection for a better deal. Part of their email response was this:
