I have been suffering from a bad infection for years. I just found out in January what it was by myself no help from Drs what so ever. So I went to western Maryland dermatology to get cured. All I got was one single biopsy and a we can't do nothing sorry. I'm still suffering. I'm covered in this. I'm sorry I done cured the infection where they took the biopsy. I expected to be treated better. I've been shoved out Drs doors for ten years all cause my addiction. An I basically got the same treatment here. I intend on filing discrimination an negligence suit against the Drs who allowed me to get this

Joke. I went in at beginning of Nov for a cyst that was big as a golf ball. While I was waiting in the room they asked if they could look around at my skin. Told me there was 5 places that could potentially turn into cancer so they froze the 5 spots. Then I was told there was a funny looking spot behind my ear and did a biopsy. Finally the Doc comes on and looks at my back. Said give him some cream and schedule him to have removed. Took longer for them to find things the VA could be chargers for then it did to check actual problem out. So I go home and deal with this golf ball in my back and wait

Jenn Elliott and the rest of the staff is great to work with. I have had multiple appointments for a lump on my neck that had could have been something serious, but they helped walk me through the entire process of getting it removed and testing it. They answered all my questions and gave me ample information on what my lump was.

McCaugh and Herring both had terrible bedside manners and did not care about any concerns. Seemed like they really hated their jobs. I spent hundreds in copays for them to push the same antibiotics and ointments that don't work. I finally switched to Morgantown, which isn't an ideal drive, but they are wonderful to deal with compared to Western Md Dermatology.

Short wait and Savannah was wonderful. I was worried there would be unnecessary biopsies done, but none were needed. Everyone was friendly and it was a good experience. Met with Dr. Herring briefly and he seemed open to questions and pleasant. Every effort was made to make me feel comfortable.

Worst experience I have ever had. Dr. McCaugh told me he did not care about his patients and that if I did not like the way he did things I could just get out. When I told him I was not happy with the lack of information give to me when I was called he told me that is just how it is and that I could deal or leave. I told him I would just leave then because no one that did not care about me was going to cut on me. As I was leaving he yeld into the waiting room from behind me that he hopes I dont die of Melanoma cancer. I would have given them no stars but it would not let me. I have never been spoken

Dr. McCaugh did surgery on a tumor I had and he was absolutely amazing!! My arm didn't even hurt during the surgery or when I got home the following day and there was a 2 inch incision in my arm. Extremely informative and professional. Highly recommend--especially for surgeries!!

I was very disappointed with Dr. Daniel Herring at Western Maryland Dermatology. I was given a size small gown that was entirely too small to fasten in the back or adequately cover my body. This left my entire back side and even my sides exposed. When I asked for a larger gown, I was told there were none available and "Don't worry, we are professionals, we see stuff all the time". There was no consideration for my modesty or sense of basic comfort as a patient. Dr. Herring was abrupt, seemed rushed and handed off my scan to a PA. In general, I felt disrespected as a health care consumer and would

Good, clean facilities. Friendly staff.
Misunderstood or was misled about PA insurance. Do your research about coverage. I asked specifically about our insurance and was reassured it would cover. When we got to the 1st appointment, I needed a referral from my PCP. Then 2nd visit, found out our insurance would not work in MD after all.
Great place for MD folks.
PA folks should probably stick to PA dermatologists.
