Another great adventure awaits both adults and kids at the Point Defiance Zoo and Aquarium where you can visit Sumatran Tigers, Asian Otters, Beluga Whales, Burmese Pythons, Octopus, Seahorses, and Sharks. It’s like they don’t want people to rent here, lol! Everything from housekeeping policy to staff behavior to check out time is designed to be annoying or adversarial. Some staff are very rude, seemingly trying to discourage interaction at all. Even though this is understandable, it’s frustrating to be on the receiving end.
Their preferred guests are overnight or people traveling for holidays. If you’re doing an extended stay while you’re closing on a house or some other thing like that, find somewhere else, you will have a quieter stay.

We were charged extra for excessive garbage 😂😂, we were there 3 days and no where did it say to put garbage out everyday. THen "stains" that never happened, Also the owner made prejudiced and racial remarks anyways to my uncle who was staying there, well my uncle overheard him talking to his employee. I think this is just straight up prejudice, I would not stay here period.

Originally would have given it a decent rating, older, needs walls and baseboards painted. Beds and pillows comfortable. Mostly clean except floors. Son spilled water on table and floor and wiped it up with a washcloth which came away black. The kicker of it was that they then charged me $5 to an unauthorized credit card (used for reservation hold but used a different card for deposit/stay) for the stained washcloth that was stained by their floor. Called office a few days later to see what the charge was, explained to desk clerk. She said she would talk to manager and call me back. Of course that

This motel was extremely rude to us the front desk employees Rhonda and her sidekick who had short blonde hair and refuse to give her name call that smokers because we were sitting in the driveway of the motel at 1:00 in the morning looking on the Expedia website for a cheap price before we went in and paid the front desk came out rudely to ask us what we were doing and then called a smokers and informed us they would not rent us for no reason at all other than we are sitting in our vehicle booking it online and smoking cigarettes. It's not worth even writing a review! Don't bother!! Waste of money! Filthy and all the females in there r rude. I was so polite n nice and going thru a lot. Paid a lot to stay there a week!!! When I could have paid the same n stayed up the street in a nice a** hotel!!! Breakfast?! No it's bs! Don't waste ur money. Choose wisely.

It's been awhile since we stayed here for good reason. The last 3 times we stayed there, we were woke up in the middle of the night by druggies or just plain drunks, didn't investigate. Parties loud till 4am. Called front, no help there, I should have called the police. I am not sure if they take cash for rooms, but I suspect they do, don't stay in those places. We have them the benefit of the doubt, came back twice more, won't ever go again, and warm people, dont stay here. Same with the one across the street, party on dude

Yes, you do get what you pay for. My Dad and his girlfriend stayed here last night and they said it was absolutely the worst. The door to the room had a huge gap to where you can hear everything in the hallway. There were kids that belong to the owners who were running around. They left several messages about how not to get make up on the towels or they will charge you. Seriously!?! The bathroom door didn't even shut, looked like it had been kicked in at one point. The list goes on, but I don't care how desperate you are stay somewhere else!

Well.....the first two nights were great! But the last one, one of the worst nights sleep I've had in a long time!
2am rolls around and I wake up to use the restroom and then outside for a quick smoke. Well as I open my door, here is a drunk 50 something year old man trying to open my door!! So I calmly ask him what he is doing. And he responds "well they gave me this card and I don't know which door so I'm just trying all of them" ............excuse me! What!? It's 2am your bothering people and are going to get yourself shot trying to open random doors! I am here

This place was absolutely disgusting. On my 3rd night mhere, I discovered a USED and FULL! condom on the floor just inside the bed skirting of my bed. When I brought the semen filled condom discovery to managements attention, they didn't seem all that impressed and too indifferent to care. When I checked out, I was not quick enough removing a box of clothing and they deducted $35.00 of my $100 cash deposit because the front desk clerk carried out of the room to the curb in my presence. Absent calling the cops, I was completely at their mercy because they held my cash. STAY AWAY!

This place is awesome. The price is very reasonable and the room was very comfortable. The front desk staff is very friendly and helpful. When I booked the room online, I called the motel twice to ask questions. When we checked in, Jonathan remembered n e and seemed like he was waiting for us. He was very accommodating and got us into a great room.
I will definitely stay here again and recommend this place to others.

This is probably the worst place I have ever stayed! When we checked in the staff was polite. We went to our room then headed to the fair. We returned after a long day at the fair and the evening concert. The beverages we had put in the fridge weren't cold. We went to bed. When I went to the bathroom in the middle of the night I stepped barefoot on tack strip. OUCH!
There was no in room coffee so, I went to the lobby to get some in the morning and told the staff of the issues. They really didn't seem concerned at all. I wasn't very impressed but figured it had worked for a place

I don't know if the motel has done some renovation since the poor reviews, but quite frankly, I don't know what the people saying "this is a terrible motel" are talking about.
The front desk was warm and welcoming. The sheets on the bed are quite possibly the softest I've ever slept on. The tub was very clean, and both the temperature and water pressure were great.
I have no complaints. You can't find a motel in the area for the price that's comparable to this one.

The Motel Puyallup is not the Ritz, and it's not supposed to be. It's a standard "mom & pop" property, with clean, comfortable rooms, the friendliest staff who will do whatever they can to make your stay enjoyable, and an awesomely convenient location within walking distance to the Fairgrounds.
My mom and I journeyed here this weekend for the (always awesome) Sew Expo. We reserved our room a few months in advance - yes this place sells out during big events and yes, they were clear when we called that our card would be charged right away and that the room was non-refundable

I made a reservation three months before my stay, gave them my credit card info to guarantee the room. They immediately ran my card and got paid. Hmm, that was weird; usually motels just keep the number in case you don't show up.
Two months before my stay I canceled the reservation, asked for my money back. They told me it was "non-refundable" even two months in advance. I've done business with plenty of hotels and motels, canceled plenty of reservations, never heard that before.
I threatened them with the BBB and a report to the police department; they finally agreed
