Built in 1928 for the family of the Chairman of the Quaker Oats Company. At over 12,000 square feet, this English Country Tudor style home, listed on the National Register of Historic Places, was one of the largest in the area with 12 bedrooms and 11 baths. Upon entering this completely restored Manor House you are taken back in time to experience what living was like for the wealthy in the 1930's.

The rate for Cottage 41 is $250 per night. Reservations for groups that wish to book all 8 rooms and suites, the rate is $1,615 per night. Asian dcor coupled with a style reminiscent of Vienna make this large ground-floor suite inviting, interesting and uplifting. The rich red wallpaper and custom draperies give this corner room a tasteful and warm ambiance.

Located in the Manor House's original detached garage, this suite offers an open floor plan with kitchen, dining area, living area, bedroom and bath. From the exterior it appears to be a century-old garage that has just been restored. But after stepping through the front door you find yourself in a beautiful, warm and cozy cottage-like space complete with the latest fixtures, appliances and dcor.

We stayed at the Duncraig Manor with 2 other couples, and all of us had nothing but great things to say about the inn. The house is beautiful; beds are comfy, and rooms are immaculately clean! There are numerous common areas to enjoy, and the breakfast is amazing. We cannot recommend this place enough!

The Duncraig went above and beyond to make our wedding weekend spectacular. Caroline and Don are not just proprietors, but the heart and soul of the Duncraig. They are vital to what a wonderful experience it was to have them host me, and my family, as the bride to be before my big day, as well as my husband and I following our wedding. I would recommend any bride make the Duncraig part of your wedding. It’s big enough to host a reception on the manicured grounds, but also very intimate with a luxurious private honeymoon suite. We had the perfect weekend getaway at Duncraig Manor and Gardens. The property and home are just beautiful and met all of our comfort needs nestled in the quant town of Southern Pines. We enjoyed every moment from relaxing on the Terrance with a cup of coffee, delicious afternoon hors d’oeuvres and drinks, to the most amazing breakfast. The small touches like turn down service and even recognizing my husbands birthday meant the world. Nothing was as amazing as the owners Don and Caroline and their attention to detail, kind and welcoming atmosphere, and helped us by making dinner reservations
