After many years of being a stay at home mom and working part time in the dental industry, I finally decided what I wanted to be when I grew up! A travel agent! Thus, my journey began. My love of travel and research inspired me to pursue a career in the travel industry. My love of people and the satisfaction of helping my clients plan that perfect vacation inspired me to open my own office.

The most important SERVICE you will find at Journeys by Design Travel and Tours is Customer Service. There are many options in the world of travel. It depends on what is important to you. Every client whether budget or luxury wants value for their vacation dollars. Unless a client has been somewhere before and wants to go back, finding that perfect fit takes time.
Traveling with friends is so much fun! Join us on a Day Trip or one of our Multi Night Trips. All our trips are custom trips and depart from the Kroger parking lot on Highway 31 in Hartselle, Alabama. We enjoy games, trivia and BINGO while we travel. Come by our office to register for a trip or call us and we can take your information and payment over the phone.
Most people don't realize but in most cases you get travel consultant services for FREE! Meaning, the vendors that your journey is booked through pay me. So, if you book directly with vendors like Sandals, Viking, Globus or Carnival, your trip doesn't cost any less but what you don't get is the personalized customer service that Journeys by Design Travel and Tours prides itself in.

Abby was excellent to work with! She originally booked a trip for us for June 2020. She’d helped us find an amazing resort, but unfortunately Covid got in the way. She worked hard to book another trip for us for June 2021, still within our budget despite all the price increases. Our resort was perfect, exactly what we wanted and needed! She took care of all the details, private transportation, travel insurance, travel documents, and answered questions about all the Covid protocols. We enjoyed working with her and hope to book another trip with her in the future!

My husband and I were looking to book our first cruise. We did some research on our own but then I had Abby reach out to me ( I knew her before) and I'm SO glad she did! Being anxious about traveling Abby made the planning of the trip perfect .She answered all my questions and took excellent care of us from start to finish! I can’t say enough good things about this company!! Abby went above and beyond for us when booking our trip to NYC for me and my husband. She didn’t push anything on us but got us several options so we could pick. We would ask her opinion and she would explain why she liked or disliked something. Our first trip to NYC couldn’t have went better!! We can’t wait to use Journeys by design again in the near future! Everyone works hard for their money & booking trips can be scary when you don’t know where to even begin! Journeys provides a peace of mind you just can’t find anywhere! Thank
