Services
Most chimney damage is the result of a wet chimney going through multiple freeze/thaw cycles. Water can enter the chimney through gaps in the chimney exterior or as a result of condensation of the flue gases from an efficient furnace. Areas of loose brick may need to be rebuilt, but a more economical option may be to fasten galvanized steel mesh to the affected area and install several coats of stucco.
A chimney needs an intact flue liner to meet code and vent the products of combustion. Stainless steel is the most widely used material since it comes in many shapes, sizes and several alloys and the manufacturers do not require any training of the installers. Some of the manufacturers put out some very high quality materials that have held up over the years.
Our company does a lot of chimney inspections, often as part of a real estate transaction. The exterior is checked for areas of deterioration that will allow water to enter the chimney and cause further damages. If the chimney exterior is not maintained, the repairs will eventually become quite costly.

Jonathan Kreider and his son are very responsive and professional. They took the time to discuss their quote with us, answered our many questions, and explained the work. They were considerate to our family’s needs to have an issue resolved and repaired, rather than trying to upsell us on a completely new fire system. I will also mention they were referred by another professional in the business, who “trusted and respected” their work.
I thank them for their honest hard work.
