After a year of virtual performances and transitioning back to in-person classes/performances, we are grateful for the support we have received from our students, parents and the community! It has been a whirlwind of a year and we are grateful we have been able to continue to bring the art of ballet to everyone.

Have a look around and view the class schedule for next year, read about new and returning faculty and be sure to mark your calendars for our 2021-2022 performances. We are looking forward to a great year! The safety of our students, staff and faculty are our top priority. Located in the building just east of our studio, we are excited to be opening the Ballet Center Utah, Inc. Costume Centre (formerly known as Wright Costume).
Services
We are excited to continue to build quality dancers through our classes this year. Each class has a specific color leotard that needs to be worn by the ladies during classes. Male dancers will need a solid color shirt, black tights and black shoes to wear for class. All dancewear, including shoes and tights, can be purchased at the Dancewear counter in the lobby of the studio.
Requiring all employees (and students where social distancing is not possible) to wear face coverings. Social distancing guidelines of six feet or more will be followed, including limiting the number of students in the classroom, and people in the building. Cleaning and sanitatzation of studio spaces between classes will be increased.
Founded in 1970, Ballet Center Utah, Inc. has focused on the proper development of dancers from small children to adults. With our adaptation of the Russian Vagonova Method of ballet we stress the importance of proper technique, allowing our students to execute all exercises and steps with precision.
The 7th International Youth Ballet Festival will be held in Salt Lake City, UT, bringing together exceptional pedagogical teaching specialists in the disciplines of Classical Ballet, Historical Dance, Character Dance and Acting for Dancers with the Russian Vaganova Training. This festival will provide an experience for young students to learn from and work alongside professional dancers for 11 days, culminating in a gala concert performance.
The 5th Annual International Youth Ballet Festival brought together outstanding teachers, specializing in Russian ballet traditions including classical ballet and character dance training. This 10-day Festival benefitted young ballet dancers ages 12 to 26 who desire to become professional ballet artists and search to develop their knowledge and education in the art of ballet, while experiencing the Russian ballet culture.

This is an amazing place to learn classical ballet. If you are looking for a place for your child to learn ballet this is it. I have been dancing there since I was 6 and have not regretted it one second.

I took ballet here for some time when I was younger. It is an excellent studio. They have a wonderful curriculum, spacious facilities, and train professional-level dancers. It is also the only studio I've seen in the area where dancers do pas de deux work and where there's a pianist for every class.
