Doubek, R.Ph and his wife, Dorothy Alice Doubek, were instrumental in expanding the business to include Medical Supply in 1979. Doubek Medical Supply is a third-generation owned and operated medical supply company that has had the privilege of serving the Chicago area for over 60 years. Inspired by his uncle, Jerry Kostris, a pharmacist and entrepreneur, Rudolph "RJ" Doubek earned his pharmacy degree and license and opened the original Doubek Pharmacy at 6224 South Pulaski in Chicago in 1955.
Doubek customer service representatives often meet with people when they are at their most vulnerable. I'm so happy and impressed with Dan, the Doubek delivery man who brought us a Hoyer lift for my son. Dan gave an impeccable explanation of the equipment and was so patient with my questions. Our Doubek Diabetes representative, Linda, has been kind, informative and accommodating in helping us adjust to our daughter's juvenile diabetes.
We offer free delivery on most orders, freedom from paperwork and friendly re-order reminders. We are experienced at helping mothers get the right breast pump based on their individual needs - often recommended by referring lactation consultants - quickly and easily, so they can focus on feeding their babies.

Doubek Medical Supply treated me with professional courtesy, insight and kindness. I stopped in to receive my CPAP machine and supplies. I was clueless in regards to which mask/headgear would meet my needs. Susan, the respiratory therapist, went above and beyond. She addressed my needs and concerns spot on. I’m very pleased with the fit. She thoroughly explained the settings on my Resmed Airsense 10, how to use it, the cleaning routine and how important compliance is to successfully treating sleep apnea. My transition into CPAP therapy therefore, has been seamless.

I just recieved a replacement CPAP machine for the one that was recalled. I called Dubek this morning and Jacob talked me through the setup. He was so clear in his directions and so patient we got it done easily. He answered all my questions. I would certainly recommend Dubek and Jacob to anyone needing assistance with the new machines.

I received a package today with a new "brain" for my CPAP machine. I called Doubek Medical and was connected with Jake. He was very kind, patient, and answered every question I had regarding the package I had received. He also helped guide me with the installation of the new brain. Awesome experience with Jake.

I did not expect Doubek to send a professional rep to my home and personally show me how to use the equipment. She was very professional and thorough as well as friendly and patient. She also provided a business card with her personal number should I have any questions. I was very happy with her presentation and I'm very content and satisfied with the equipment and the ease of using it.

Don't use this place. They Lied to me and said that my insurance covered the cgm when it didn't. After ordering the cgm and sensors we found out that i was not covered. My doctor office called them and they lied to them saying they were working on my issue with the insurance. Then they lied to me and said that my doctor was at fault. It ended up with my having to pay them almost $1800 for THEIR mistake. Please, i beg you, if you want someone who cares about you and who wants to help please find another medical supply company. They are dishonest.

I could not be happier with this company!! I recently switched to Doubek from another company. The previous company wouldn't tell me there was a problem with my order, instead they would let the ship date go by and I would be out of supplies then realize they needed shipped my order. Doubek has been anything but that! They are very timely on processing and shipping orders, they shipped on Monday, I got my order Tuesday. THANK YOU!! From a very appreciative customer!

Very Knowledgeable staff. Went out of their way to answer and explain the nuances of the cpap ResMed AirSense 11. They helped me adjust the machine to my specifications and walked me through it. They answered all questions and were very thoughtful in making sure I understood.

I cannot stress this enough.....if you have another option for diabetes supplies, go there. I'm not sure what is more frustrating:
1. The man who always sounds annoyed when you need a reorder, as if you are interrupting him.
2. The complete communication failures (i.e 48 hour notice that they won't be carrying your supplies anymore when your order is due to go out)
3. Their billing practicing that don't match up to dates of service (i.e. shipping 3 months worth of supplies but billing insurance nonsensical dates of service in 3 separate transactions.)

My daughter has received medical supplies for many years no issues. Recently they decided not to supply only one of our supplies (we have like 8 different supplies for past 10 yrs) due to insurance not enough reimbursement.They carry the supplies but refuse to refill it not enough payment. We have BCBS Blue advantage HMO . I filed a report against them. If you have an Advocate Contract you should supply the supplies all or nothing.

This place is the best for medical supplies! Kathy helped me get a walker and hospital bed for my mom. My mom's walker had an issue (months later). She said to "bring it by." Not only did the technician fix it, he taught the woman taking care of me how to fix it and to show me! This is my medical supply place of choice! Thanks everyone!

Horrible experience. Waited almost a week to have a phone call returned. 2 weeks later I called again for another issue, again, no return call. I was told technicians are not given time to check messages and return calls. Then I received a call from someone I have never spoken to before who told me they were too busy to return calls. She went on to say I needed to change my way of thinking and needed to start thinking "outside the box". If you are ok waiting to have an important call returned and enjoy be spoken down to and treated like a child this is your place!

Call today because I needed to get my new mask before the one that they brought me that wasn't the one I wanted 30 days ago which was not my fault they brought the wrong one now I have to order a new mask in my 30 days is up so I had to call before Monday So I can get a mask and call there and this lady I talk to you many times I know she's a receptionist or what but very rude every time likes very short with me very irritated that me the customer the one that Hass to sleep I feel like I'm being judged because I have one through three or four masks from them and from the beginning

If you are a medical provider home care agency or just looking to buy quality equipment THIS IS NOT THE PLACE. I ordered a hospital bed from this company for a bariatric patient of mines and after a month of use the safety rail was loose and coming apart. I asked the patient what happened and he said that it was loose like that when the bought the bed to his home. A few months later the automatic foot lift was broken on one side of the bed. After Doubek finally went out to repair the bed they refused to do so and claimed that this helpless disabled patient purposely broke the bed and refused to

When I traveled to the area a few months ago, I was bummed to find out that my breastpump was not working properly. I needed to temporarily use a pump but not buy a whole new one, so I was relieved when I found out that Doubek carries electric breast pumps to rent. In fact on their website they list that they carry a range of lactation supplies and equipment. I called and they said that they had the Medela Symphony in stock and ready to rent, which is what I have used and am familiar with, so was further relieved. When I arrived and explained I was there for a pump, I was given a really hard time

Went into the store to pick up a prescription for some socks and had a horrible experience. We were met with a rude attitude and annoyance we were even in the store.

After asking a few additional questions to Joyce on pricing, we were met again with a snarky attitude and a remark that "she doesn't have to look at a price tag"

More or less, we will not be customers to this store again.

I had an appointment on December 15, 2017. I saw Lisa and I felt rushed. I was trying to discuss the different type of masks and I was told am not going to make this decision for you. When I picked the one I wanted she just walked out of the room without saying anything. Why would I want a medical supply store to make a decision about my mask? If I wanted advice I would have asked my doctor. I didn't feel any sensitivity at all. But on a positive tip, the front staff were friendly ad informative. It took for September 23 to December 15, 2017 to get service and I don't like people talking

I have a lot of allergies and have a couple prescriptions filled here because the brand name versions have allergens (seriously why would a major drug company put peanut oil in a commonly prescribed drug?). They seem to do good quality work here and they've always been very helpful - I'm very happy with the prescriptions they've been filling for me.

If I could give this place zero stars I would. All I wanted to do was to get was support knee-highs for spider veins. It has been the most frustrating event and the customer service at Doubek is horrible. I spoke with Katie and yep there's only one Katie there. She wanted me to give her my prescription ahead of the fitting for the knee-highs and just recently left me another message on my voicemail claiming she didn't know how much pressure was needed for the knee-highs despite me talking to her 2 days ago about it, and even connecting her to the medical assistant at my doctor&apos

I was charged $245.40 for 2 pair of compression closed two stockings in February and then $368.10 for 2 pair of open toe stockings in September. I was offered $95.00 to not refile with insurance. The ridiculous part in this is you can get the exact stockings for about $62.00 online. Talk about markup! Do yourself and others a favor and order online instead of frequenting this store.

Have been diagnosed with varicose veins so need to wear the support stockings. I went to a medical supply store closer to home at first to see if they could help.

Unfortunately they were not able to bill my insurance, so, upon the recommendation of the wound care nurses, went to Doubek's Medical supply to see if they could help.

Not only were they able to help me out, but they did all the footwork for me, getting the referral needed and working with my insurance, as well as taking the time to show me how to put the stockings on and how to care for them.

These folks are highly recommended
