West Springs Hospital Is dedicated to continuing to provide the highest-quality mental health care during this pandemic. West Springs Hospital is committed to protecting the health and safety of patients and staff during this volatile time. Many enhanced precautions have been into place, including deep and frequent cleaning protocols, staff temperature checks, the usage of masks and other appropriate PPE and social distancing standards.

To ensure the continued safety of our patients and staff, In-person visitation is not happening at this time and we encourage family, friends and loved ones to keep in touch with patients via telephone or Zoom. A patient's case manager can assist in coordinating digital visitation. We are here to help, assisting patients to a safe and stable state so they can transition to lower levels of care and work towards long-term recovery.
Services
Less than 20 years ago there were 3 inpatient psychiatric units on the western slope where people could receive life-saving treatment when they needed it. Then quickly all 3 closed, leaving an unacceptable gap that gave rise to West Springs Hospital opening in 2005. Now years later in 2020, West Springs Hospital remains the sole inpatient psychiatric hospital in western Colorado, the only one between Denver and Salt Lake City.

If you expect people who have major caffeine addictions to participate in their treatment with no caffeine you obviously don't understand how bad that is for health! Whenever I went in I pretended to be doing okay so I could go home and have caffeine! I understand that some patients can't have caffeine but the system in Pueblo made it allowed if approved by provider so maybe West Springs should follow suit.

This place didn't help at all, they gave me meds that made me lose 200 pounds in a week, also to top that off, the meds they gave me, which made me throw up my food or anything I drink!!!!! for 3 months.

The kindness and compassion shown at this Hospital was truly amazing. I am slightly shocked by the negative reviews, and I can only imagine that many are left by people who are severely ill or who who were admitted against their will. West Springs Hospital saves lives - the doctors, nurses, and staff truly do care.

PLEASE, Grand Junction needs competent mental healthcare! My soulmate and partner was not given access to his prescribed psych meds while a patient here, and two weeks later was found dead by suicide. MAYBE the correct medications could have helped to keep this beautiful man alive!

The staff is very accommodating during COVID they can’t allow visitors but were very helpful with getting my daughter on the phone anytime I wanted. She said the food is not good. Was there for 5 days, she did learn some things. Not a terrible place

0/5 stars! My wife was recently admitted to West Springs involuntarily. She was suffering from insomnia and deemed “gravely disabled” because of it by a local hospital and sent to WSH. There she was neglected her basic human rights.
Here is a list of the gross negligence shown to her by the West Springs staff:
• They put in her records “non-celiac gluten sensitivity” even though she was diagnosed with extreme celiac in 2014. It’s on her MMR. She told the staff. I told the staff, doctors, case managers, even the security guard about her allergies. But it was still ignored and she was

I would rate a negative if the option were available. Worst place ever!! My daughter was recently placed in there for a suicide attempt, they released her after voicing my concerns after finding 4 suicide notes and she self harmed while in there. A week to the day after release she attempted suicide AGAIN!!! I begged for help and pleaded to refer her to another facility....i will be looking into a lawsuit if nothing else having license pulled for negligence of a minor that was in their care and releasing her knowing she was a danger to herself and others

Don't take your children here!! The front staff ladies are nice once they know what's going on. Basically just a place for troubled kids until they decide they're in a good mood and can go home. There are NO behavioral skills incorporated or a plan of action. No rehabilitation whatsoever. If I needed a babysitter I would have hired one.. my son needed help. NEVER AGAIN! This place is a JOKE!
