Tri-City Judo
We pride ourselves on respecting each other and having fun while learning the art of Judo. Pushing you out of your comfort zone helps ensure you are always growing and learning, on and off the mat. My kids trained in another martial art before coming to Tri-City Judo. I have been extremely impressed with the Instructors' abilities to push them beyond their limits and raise the bar in their martial arts training.

The level of competition is very high here. If you're looking for martial arts day-care, this isn't it. But if you want to kick butt and take names, or at least 'know" you could if you wanted to, this is the place to be." My daughter trains at this dojo. I can't think of any better gift a parent can give their child than training in martial arts.

Judo is a Japanese sport focusing on using your opponent's weight and strength against them. Judo provides a great physical and mental workout while developing and improving your balance, coordination, and confidence through the implementation of throwing techniques, pins, joint locks, submissions, and choking techniques.
The national sport of Thailand, Muay Thai boxing has deep origins in the battlefields of the Thai army. In the early days, Muay Thai had no formal rules, regulations, uniforms, or weight classes, meaning the practice was a "free-for-all". However, early in the 20th century, a set of rules was developed in order to make Muay Thai a safer and more sustainable martial art.
If it's your first time, just wear something light and casual such as a t-shirt and shorts. Exercise or "gym" attire is appropriate. You may be provided a temporary "club Gi" until you are able to obtain one of your own. TCJ can help order a gi for you, or you can buy one online. Students MUST have their OWN gi (uniform) within a week of joining.
Both forms of martial art are something that you'll want to consider learning, especially if you're interested in self-defense. The age-old question is which style. Learning Judo requires balance. Yin and yang, push and pull, the channeling of energy within yourself and against your opponent. To succeed in Judo, you.

We are proud to be a part of this dojo and the Judo family. If you're looking for a martial art to get involved in, give this one a go. The Senseis a great to work with. This dojo is not belt mill, so promotions may be slower than you want. However, when you get promoted you know you have earned it and have the skill to back it up (for defense or tournament of course).

The best martial arts instructors in Tri-Cities are here at Tri-City Judo - BJJ in Kennewick. As the name implies, they primarily offer Judo and Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, but they also offer Muay Thai Kickboxing on Fridays. Judo is Monday & Wednesday, and BJJ is Tuesdays and Thursdays. Classes are offered for kids as young as 4 years old and up. No-Gi BJJ classes are on Saturdays. For probably the lowest monthly fee anywhere in town, you or your child can train in all three martial arts at one price, with additional family members being discounted. The culture is one of respect and discipline

If you are looking to take self defense classes then this is the spot! I have practiced martial arts in the past but because of my disabilities I didn't feel as if I could continue to practice.
I met with Robert, and discussed my concerns and he was really attentive, and understanding.
This location has alot of flexibility in that you have the ability to choose what martial art you would like to practice or you could participate in them all. It's definitely a family friendly location offering classes for all age groups.

Wow... so glad I found this martial arts academy. Their Judo program is too notch and their Jiu Jitsu program are amazing.

Joey Armstrong (Ralph Gracie Black Belt) is so down to earth. Easy to talk to and great instructor.

I come out here for work when the airport needs to add parking. So it's so nice to walk in and get some great s. Everyone there is so welcoming.

Family friendly, traditional and competitive judo, jiujitsu(nogi too), muay thai and of course MMA classes to top it all off. Great family prices and the monthly cost covers all the classes which is half as much as other schools. Note they have 2 REAL CERTIFIED black belts in jiujitsu from Ralph Gracie. Not sure if any other dojo has black belts in jiujitsu lol don't think so but I could be wrong. Good quality pool of talent to learn from and awesome visits from Kurt Osiander,Miesha Tate, judo Olympians.
