Illinois Insulators has been providing the greater Chicagoland area an affordable way to insulate your homes through several methods. We offer insulation services for both Commercial and Residential properties. To best fit the specific needs of your home or commercial property, you should consider that there are several forms of insulation available, their R-values, and the thickness needed.
The type of insulation we use will be determined by the nature of the spaces that you plan to insulate. For example, since you cannot conveniently "pour" insulation into an overhead space, blankets, spray-foam, board products, or reflective systems are used between the joists of an unfinished basement ceiling.

The Sound of Silence: A quiet home is relaxing and serene. Rockwool Soundproofing insulation quiets a home and creates a peaceful haven of quality and solitude in new and existing homes and commercial buildings. Soundproofing interior walls is also a good idea. This one-time luxury is now affordable.
Insulation blankets, in the form of batts or rolls, are flexible products made from mineral fibers, including fiberglass or rock wool. They are available in widths suited to standard spacings of wall studs and attic or floor joists.
They must be hand-cut and trimmed to fit wherever the joist spacing is non-standard (such as near windows, doors, or corners), or where there are obstructions in the walls (such as wires, electrical outlet boxes, or pipes). They are available with or without vapor-retarder facings. Batts with a special flame-resistant facing are available in various widths for basement walls where the insulation will be left exposed.

It is always advisable to insulate walls. You'll benefit from increased comfort and savings. Before installing wall insulation you may want to investigate materials and techniques. In an existing home, it's generally wise to limit your investigation to blown-in insulation, unless planned renovations will expose wall framing.
Molds produce tiny spores to reproduce. Mold spores waft through the indoor and outdoor air continually. When mold spores land on a damp spot indoors, they may begin growing and digesting whatever they are growing on in order to survive. There are molds that can grow on wood, paper, carpet, and foods.

I was general contractor for building our home 5 years ago. The county had strict requirements and the inspector added his own personal requirements on the fly. Kevin at Illinois Insulators took care of everything no issues. Excellent insulation and sealing, professional and on time.

They were very professional. Every time I asked a question they politely answered and explained the steps of what they were doing. Everything came out very neat and they cleaned up any mess that was there. I also just got my first heating bill in the mail and it dropped a good amount for the price. I highly recommend them.

Luke and his crew provided exceptional service! Our 2nd floor has always been MUCH hotter/cooler than our main floor and figured we needed better insulation in our attic. They came out and added the insulation, along with installed something to help with better air flow. We also had a mold and fungus problem that they cleaned up for us. We can tell a huge difference that the insulation made and it is so much better knowing our mold & fungus was taken care of as well. They were easy to work with, fast and cleaned up after themselves very well.

I just completed insulation - blown in for walls upstairs and attic. I also did the blown in for the basement as well as the spray foam for foundation rim joists. I did not realize they were not spray foaming the basement wall, but that was my confusion. We will see how effective it is during the hot summer months and when winter comes around.
They did a good consultation with evaluating my weak points in insulation for the entire house. I am not sure I needed to do as much as I did - almost a whole house re-insulation project. They did not pressure me into doing the whole project which was good
