We went to 2 stores in Manhattan, in an attempt to learn about beds. I researched and researched, and drove myself crazy with all of the different reviews on the internet for so many Companies. I decided to buy a mattress from the same company that I purchased my adjustable bed frame from. Big mistake.
We'd love to help and will try to answer some of your questions generally, however, questions about comfort are handled most efficiently in a phone conversation. It's too easy for nuances to get lost in an email thread, especially with something as subjective as comfort. Soft, Firm, Medium, Plush, Stiff, et al mean different things to different people.

These mattresses were amazing. We spent weeks looking at national mattress chains and were not loving any mattress. This latex mattress, was incredibly comfortable, had very little motion transfer. The salesman was laid back and very friendly. He asked our needs and said we might want to check out Gardner another high quality local mattress maker.

The Spindle mattress is a build it yourself mattress. It has 3 layers of latex and the mattress cover, shipped in separate boxes. It's pretty easy to put together. The hardest part is getting each layer properly positioned on top of each other, but it's pretty straightforward to do this; it just may take some time to get right. I love our Spindle Mattresses. I was hesitating about buying the mattress online. I took a trip to their show room in Acton MA. I liked all 4 comfort levels on mattress. Picked up the mattress directly from the factory after ordering on tax free weekend. Staff was very friendly, understanding, and pragmatic in helping us through the process. I love my spindle mattress. We bought the two twin extra long and fits our king size bed perfectly. We have a solid wood platform bed and we both prefer the firm, which is two layers of firm and one medium. We like the option of 3 interchangeable layers. After sleeping for one and half years, we are very happy with it. It’s beautiful constructed and the material is very high quality. It’s not hot and no odor. It’s slightly firm for a side sleeper so we use a 2 inch foam and wool as a mattress topper. It’s so luxurious.

We are so, so pleased with our Spindle mattress!! We did A LOT of research on mattresses and were close to buying a completely different type of mattress when we found Spindle. First of all, you can trust them! they are absolutely honest. they support their product and help you in all possible way.. About the mattress , three layer high quality natural latex, you are going to put them together and make your mattress, so you know exactly what you are buying. latex is bouncy even the firmest level is still soft which could be good for some people. first you need to make sure you like the latex feeling and if so spindle is a perfect choice.

My wife and I recently upgraded from a queen sized Beautyrest pillow top mattress to a king sized latex mattress from Spindle. We were lucky and were within driving distance to the Spindle warehouse in Acton, MA. Their small showroom off of the warehouse contains 4 beds to try; one of each firmness level. A very knowledgeable and courteous man named Kim gave us time to try all the firmness levels and was available for questions if we had any. Other than that, he left us alone. We have had our Spindle mattress for about two months now, and absolutely love it. We searched far and wide and for way too long for a new mattress. We couldn't be happier with our choice. Have never slept better. We are now latex mattress converts. And in addition to making a great product, Spindle also goes above and beyond to provide excellent customer service via phone and email. I bought a Spindle, King latex mattress in March of this year (2016). I intentionally waited for > 6 months to review as I had never slept on a latex mattress before I purchased my spindle and I wanted to take some time to truly understand if I was completely satisfied with my new Spindle or did a long for modern version of the typical sleep center spring mattress. Well, I'm glad I waited. At first my mattress was too firm for me, I weigh about 194 pounds so the recommendation was that I purchase a firm version. I slept on that for about a month and I was not satisfied. It was too firm for me.

Count me as another happy Spindle Mattress customer. I was burned by a year old mattress from everyone' favorite local Imax theater, and was trying out the various disruptive dot coms trying to change the mattress industry. The first was a famous one-size-fits-all mattress was too firm (my hardwood floors had more give). The second was a company that sold soft, medium and firm. Unfortunately soft was too soft for me and although they were willing to take it back and send a medium, if the medium was still too soft, then I would have been stuck with it. I had been sleeping on my old inner spring mattress for well over a decade and it was time to find a new one. After a lot of research and testing, I settled on some version of a latex foam mattress. Of course my first stop was at a very large furniture retailer that will remain unnamed. We are incredibly happy with our Spindle. We stopped by the showroom and Neal was great about answering all of our questions but also disappearing in the office and giving us a chance to lie on all of the floor samples and test them out without feeling rushed or awkward. He also helped us figure out the best softness (Firm) based on how we sleep, which was really helpful because we liked the feeling of both Firm and Extra Firm. On top of that he was able to time the shipping so that the mattress arrived after we got back from vacation - this is the kind of service that separates a small business

I ordered a Spindle Mattress in March 2015. I was a little uneasy about ordering a mattress on line but after reviewing all the literature on the Spindle website and checking materials and pricing of other brands, I was convinced Spindle was the way to go. When the product arrived (mattress and foundation) the hardware packet for the foundation was one bolt short, which caused a delay in the assembly process. I purchased my latex mattress from Spindle almost a year ago, It is the best purchase I ever made. After doing a lot of research online I was set to order when I noticed the Spindle Mattress website. Living only 20 minutes away, I went over there and was impressed by the owner, he was knowledgeable and very accommodating. The prices were also much less than an online purchase plus shipping for the same product. I purchased a king size and took it home! It is the most comfortable mattress I have ever had, after almost a year it is still perfect. You can't go wrong at Spindle.

The knowledgeable salesman spent hours with me letting me sample difference mattress types and customizations. He even stayed open nearly an hour late to accommodate me.
