Located in Louisville, KY, Art Sanctuary is a 501(c)3 non-profit status community-oriented arts collective supporting local visual, literary and performing arts through events, promotion and education. Art Sanctuary was founded on the premise that art is an integral part of life. Our mission is to help make it possible for artists to further their work and careers at a reasonable cost while helping to provide them with the platforms to do so.
Our studios provide space where artists can work, rehearse, record, participate in classes, lectures, and exhibitions and take advantage of discussion, critique and collaboration. We believe Louisville has a lot of artistic talent in need of an integrated and vibrant artistic community where art is what matters.

International superstar Electronic DJs, World class visuals, incredible local talent, a world class venue, and the biggest damn rave Louisville has seen in 10+ years. Halloween's origins date back to the ancient Celtic festival of Samhain. Art Sanctuary is a great event venue! We recently hosted a fundraiser here, and the space was perfect. The employees were also very helpful and made sure everything for our event was great!
If you're looking for an event space, Art Sanctuary is a great spot! Also, for the size of the space, the rental fee is very reasonable.
Plus, the gallery is great, and everything displayed in the space is really interesting and cool.

Super cool venue for creative people. The space is run by artists, not big business, so it has an original style, not a cookie cutter, corporate feel like so many places these days. It's a non-profit and a community space, so the events vary depending on who is having the event.
The space is not a flea market as mentioned by others. It's simply the building the flea market was held in. The space changes according to event specifics.

I stopped in for the first time during the open studio weekend.
I live very close by, and am routinely kept awake at nights when they host events featuring DJs late in to the night/early in to the morning. As an oft-annoyed neighbor, I figured I should at least pay them a visit and see inside the place that disrupts my sleep.
That said, of course visiting the gallery and studios, I am not seeing the things that are responsible for my lost sleep...that is from events and parties hosted in the front event space! The gallery takes up probably the back 1/3 of the ground floor of the building, and

The Holiday Flea Off Market brings me to Art Sanctuary every year. This is not my favorite flea off market. The Art Sanctuary is not the best locale for this. The lighting isn't great, it feels really dark in this location and the acoustics make things sound weird. The fact the lighting is not good makes it hard to enjoy the vendors in this space. To top it off, its hard to find parking around this space. This is not my favorite location.

My only time here was for an indor flea market type thing. It is a great, large open space that is easy to find. Inside it is very clean and allowed all the vendors for the market a good amount of space and shoppers. The parking around it is all street and depending on ahat is happening there you may have to walk a very small bit.

Art Sanctuary is a large in-door holiday flea-off market where they have a wide variety of artists, crafts persons, and vendors hawking their wares. I went on a cold and rainy Sunday and it was the perfect way to spend some time doing something without exposing myself to the great outdoors.
The event is held in a large warehouse in Germantown near the Germantown Mill Lofts. Parking can be a bit of issue, so be prepared to walk a few blocks. You can buy homemade candles, jewelry, soap, ceramics, artwork and so much more. It's kind of an adventure just seeing what there is, and if you

The Art Santuary describes itself as "a community-oriented arts collective supporting local visual, literary and performing arts through events, promotion and education." The Sanctuary is housed in a repurposed manufacturing building a little bit north of Burnett on Shelby St, This is a vast facility, I won't even venture to guess its square footage but Sanctuary hosted 2014's Flea Off Market Holiday Bazaar with dozens of vendors spread out over two floors, into multiple large rooms, and with hundreds of people in attendance.
Parking did overflow all along Shelby St and well
