The story of our company begins in 2015 at the founder's Brooklyn apartment, thereby arose the name: Apartment F. For more than six years, we have been designing original textiles in-house and collaborating with artisans in Morocco and Turkey to produce them in small batches. Our collections of pillows and rugs are all handmade from start to finish, and no two are exactly alike.
When our online shop evolved into a brick & mortar store after moving to Austin, TX, we have built a community within East Austin that we continually inspire through events, classes, and giving back. Just like our story, yours starts at your home, the space you come to seek comfort, entertain friends and loved ones, create, recuperate, and most of all live.

Services
Each Apartment F rug is a one-of-a-kind piece, handmade from start to finish using only natural fibers. When properly cared for, these rugs can last a lifetime. We seek to disrupt the world of mass production by ethically sourcing small-batch goods that support and empower independent artisans worldwide.
We recommend using a rug pad with all of our rugs. A rug pad provides extra cushion and support, and also keeps the rug from sliding. Felt pads are best for hardwood floors, and a felt/rubber mix is best for preventing sliding due to high traffic or pets. Here are the rug pads that we recommend. All of our vintage rugs are cleaned and repaired in Morocco or Turkey before we receive them in our Austin store.

Super cute store! In Austin I've found it hard to find unique tasteful home goods and this place has them. It reminds me of ABC Home in NYC with a bit of twist of Austin style. I purchased two rugs and a pillow so far. The owner is super sweet too. She helped me find just the right rug for my house and wasn't pushy at all. I'll definitely be back!!
