Idaho Sewing & Vacuum, located in Boise and Meridian, sells and repairs many brands of sewing machines and vacuums. We carry five sewing machine brands at both locations; Pfaff, Babylock, Janome, Viking, and Bernina. We have one of the largest selections of thread and needles in the area. Our classes range from larger all-day project/lecture events to small project classes, to learning the basics on how to use your sewing machine!

Serger Intro-Welcome to our new Air threading serger owners! What fun a serger can be! You will learn how to thread your serger and sew a 4,3,a nd 2 thread serged edge and rolled hem. For those of you with more than 4 threads, you will learn the chain stitch, cover hem and combos that can be accomplished with your serger.
Whether you have inherited Grandma's favorite sewing machine or have many of your own, we are here to give you the best repair experience! Our certified technicians know exactly how each machine works and not only fixes mechanical issues but is also able to fix most cosmetic issues. What happens to your machine when it is serviced?

After multiple phone calls with questions about various models, pros and cons, which were very honestly and directly answered, I went in in person, and walked out with a machine that seems to match my "requirement list" really well; and it wasn't even what I went to look at! Stewart was super helpful, listened really well and addressed all of my concerns and questions with patience and clarity :) Thank you so much, and I'm sure you will be seeing me frequently!

Strongly suggest you take pictures of your sewing machine before you take it in. When I got my machine home and realized it had no power cord with the foot pedal, I called and they said they didnt have it. I took the machine in with me to see if they had it ther . They didn't. The owner argued with me that there was never a grey cord and gave me another cord "that would work" I honestly wanted the one that came with it!! The replacement is a cheap replacement and can tell its cheaply made but whatever, guess I have no choice but to take what they gave me, right? What a joke. On top of that, they

I wish I could put higher than 5 starts because this shop is absolutely incredible! There are two reviews on here that are completely ignorant, ridiculous, and shouldn't even be allowed to rate companies. Stewart was by far the most incredible and helpful (not to mention hilarious) customer service representative I have every encountered and made us customers for life.
We make and manufacture handmade dog collars for outdoor dogs from scratch and have 3 sewing machines we are constantly using. Our Jenome sewing machine wasn't fully working and we decided we needed to get a better one and went

Wonderful experience!
I do not know how I got along before I "happened" into this shop. I had become so cynical at the last dealership that I dealt with, that I'm sure I had some "attitude".
Stewart was so kind, and never made me feel rushed with all my questions, and his knowledge of sewing machines was so refreshing!
Then there's Rachel....now she knows sewing and helps me understand my machine and what it can do.
I am very anxious to take some of her classes.
I can not express how comfortable I feel and how much I trust their judgment.
I just hope I don't drive them crazy with my questions
