Many people who come to see me are struggling with an illness or an injury that has not responded fully to conventional treatments. Most have never seen an acupuncturist before and are unsure what to expect. Part of my goal as a practitioner is to help make acupuncture more of a mainstream treatment by educating my clients.
While I respect the long history of acupuncture, I also embrace evidence-based medicine. The growing acceptance of acupuncture in the United States is based in large part on the numerous research studies that demonstrate its efficacy. The great strength of traditional Chinese medicine is its focus on wellness.

I was having problems with tightness in my lower back, so much that I had a hard time tying my shoes without discomfort. It was suggested to me that acupuncture might help. I asked around a bit, and an acquaintance of mine recommended Leah. When I went to see her the first time, I also mentioned to her that I was having pain in my knee, and it would at times wake me up at night. Fortunately for me, Leah was able to treat both problems at once. After two treatments, my back was starting to feel better, and my knee pain was gone! My back improved with each treatment, and now feels great! Acupuncture

As treatment for my chronic headaches/migraines, one of the things recommended to me was acupuncture. Desperate to try anything that might help and that wasn't also medication related, I went onto Google. Whole Family Health kept popping up with excellent reviews. A view of the website confirmed it. I've been seeing Leah for just about two years now and she has been amazing. Leah is definitely in a league of her own - she's been trained by acupuncturists in China (thus she knows what is what!), sincerely cares about her clients, and is a genuinely nice person. But don't just

Over Christmas 2105 and into the new year I was experiencing drainage in the back of my throat, plugged ears and swollen lymph nodes. I was on antibiotics just for the virus/infection to come back a few weeks later. This is when I contacted Leah. She got back to me within 24 hours to schedule an appointment. She did a in depth consultation and went over the treatment plan including acupuncture and Chinese herbs that would help me. Just a few weeks of treatment and I was back to my old self, happy, healthy and full of energy. I now get a "tune-up" once every 6 weeks or so. Leah was and IS very sweet

I sought acupuncture after suffering with low back pain for seven months. Chiropractic and physical therapy helped some, but it was not until I turned to acupuncture that I experienced significant relief. I told Leah I felt like my whole body was holding it's breath for seven months, and I felt like my body was finally starting to breathe again!
Leah was very professional and made the whole experience comfortable. I felt considerably better after one treatment and after the second was able to begin resuming normal activities.

I had an incredible experience with Leah at Whole Family Health Acupuncture. It was a very peaceful and professional environment. I felt very comfortable and the quality of treatment and care were extraordinary. Leah provided a very thorough explanation of the treatment and clearly had an expert's grasp on what she was doing. I felt as though the course of treatment was not drawn out, nor oversimplified and had very positive results - better than what came from a western doctor. I would not hesitate for a second to recommend Leah and her treatment to the closest of my family and friends.

I was unsure about acupuncture. But after meeting Leah she eased any concerns that I had and treated me with respect, honesty, and compassion. She did not make any unrealistic promises. I always felt relaxed and peaceful at her office and during the acupuncture treatments. I truly believe Leah is a healer.
