Bella Terra Vineyards was founded in 2015 by Jay and Joanna Bell. The original vision was to create a space for outdoor weddings and events, under the leadership of Jacque Bell, and supply those events with homemade wine. With Joanna's background in advertising/graphic design, Jay's background in horticulture and business, and Jacque's expertise in coordinating events, Bella Terra Vineyards was born.
That mission quickly changed with the successful opening of the original tasting room in 2016. The wines and beautiful outdoor space were well received and the need for a larger winery soon became paramount. By 2019, Jay and Joanna had left their "day" jobs to focus on the winery fulltime and added several employees including General Manager Heather Gibas and winemaker Bill King.

Services
Bella Terra Vineyards is the ideal place for private parties, bridal and baby showers. Located just 2 miles from the Pennsylvania turnpike make the location easily accessible from a multitude of locations. The beautiful setting will give your event a tranquil and private feel. We can help plan the entire event or work with your existing planner to make your event the best that it can be.
The vineyard at Bella Terra is composed of a selection of grapes to make wines for every palate. Grapes were planted in 2015 and in 2019, were finally mature enough to make exceptional wine. Wines are available by the glass, bottle and starting in 2019, some varieties are available in a can! For reservations of 8 people or more, please email info@bellaterravineyards.com.
In 2020, Bella Terra Vineyards acquired Briar Valley Vineyard & Winery located in Bedford, PA. The 10 acre vineyard produces the highest quality vinifera grapes to make truly exceptional Pennsylvania white and red wines. The tasting room is located in downtown Bedford. Stop by to try some wines made from the vines in Bedford and also to sample your Bella Terra favorites from Hunker.

We had an awesome experience in an igloo last week! Great drinks (wine and beer), great food from the Bistro, friendly staff and great atmosphere! The igloo was a very pleasant 54 degrees and was extremely helpful in limiting contact with other people not in our group (in case someone would want to avoid crowd germs.). We will definitely do this again!

The Outside Igloos were an amazing experience, with friendly, attentive staff, fair pricing on everything, and great decor within the igloos themselves. Additionally, we went on a very chilly evening with very high wind and even rain, and the igloo held up very well. The vineyard as a whole was roomy and impressive. I'll definitely be back!

We have a very small department and we decided to hold a holiday get together at Bella Terra. We ordered a variety of appetizers and some sandwiches. The food was delicious, the wine was spectacular and there was even live entertainment. The staff was very courteous to our needs. Will definitely be back

My friends and I visited the first time today, and will definitely be back! We booked an outdoor igloo and had such a fun time. Tons of wine options— glass, flight, bottle— plus mixed drink and beer for the non wine drinkers. The food was also amazing! The staff was so nice and extremely helpful— cannot wait for my next trip back!

My son got married in July and they had rented the Wine House to stay on the property. I would highly recommend this to anyone getting married there. We also held the rehearsal dinner there on Friday evening and it was wonderful to be able to relax and not have to run somewhere else to have dinner. They went above and beyond to set everything up and we did not have to worry about anything. Staying in the house made the wedding day flow so much easier with everyone on the property. Had an unexpected extra day in New Stanton so decided to check it out. What a delightful Sunday afternoon. Good wine. Good Food. Good music. Lots of outside seating and comfy (plush) inside casual seating areas. If we ever come through this way again, we'll be back.
