Came to this place many times for shoe shines and ultimately a resole. My $450 pair of Paul Evans shoes were resoled with copious amounts of glue and began to came apart. I came in nicely asking for a refund and was screamed at and told I was threatening him. He refused to take ownership of his work. Lied. And threatened to call the police. I waited there for 20 minutes as he went in the back and hid from me refusing to even talk to me.
Awful service. I have spoken to the consumer protection office at the RI attorney generals office and filed a complaint. These

We dropped my daughter's dance shoes off to have taps attached. The dance store apparently sold us the wrong size taps for the shoes. THe gentleman at D&D realized the taps were the wrong size, but instead of letting us know, attached them any way. The shoes look terrible. When I voiced my opinion that her should have let us know so we could get the correct size instead of attaching them he claimed, "that's not my job."
Upon getting home, I've now realized there is also glue down the side of one of the shoes.
I do not recommend this store.

I have looked for a quality shoe repair since moving to the area from NYC a few years ago. FINALLY....I found one. David is amazing and he has the expertise and steady hand needed to work on all types of footwear. I trust him with my very best footwear. I get years out of a pair of boots, sandals, pumps....you name it by having David regularly maintain my items. And things are ready when he says they will be ready.

I would not recommend that you have patches sewed on by this guy. He went through the lining and the patches he put on were bubbled in spots where he clearly got stuck. And he cannot sew a straight line either. Improper tension on his machine. Had to send our stuff to another place that redid his awful work. Also, the guy agreed to a discounted price if we continued to send him jobs of sewing on patches and then when one of our members we sent there mentioned the discount, he told the member, " Your president has a big mouth." and then did a poor job on that members vest!

Today I dropped off a pair of boots that are too tight in the calf. two other cobblers already refused me over the phone to simply insert a zipper down the inside of each boot (which I've had successfully done before with another pair of boots.)
at D&D, open until 3pm on Saturday (very convenient for people like myself who have to work during the week from 8:30 until 5!) the owner agreed that the zipper would do the trick, but asked if we should try to stretch the calf instead, first? this suggestion alone, along with the hours, makes this place #1 in my book! imagine, suggesting solutions based
